When it comes to expressing your gender identity, navigating labels can be tricky. For those identifying as transgender or non-binary, finding the right words is essential.
Obviously, it’s important for people to use language that respects and reflects your identity. Outdated or offensive terms can be hurtful.
However, it’s important to remember that you’re more than just a label!
Ultimately, what matters most is how you personally want to be addressed, regardless of where you fall on the gender spectrum.
So, let’s talk about it!
Do you have a particular term or label that resonates with you – such as crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary person, or something else?
I’m eager to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
I like labels but I don’t feel that there are enough of them to go around for us. Personally also I don’t feel that any of the current labels of trans fit me although “trans-something” I feel is better than nothing. I cannot say that I feel “female” but certainly eccentric in such a way that I deserve to be referred to as “she”.
i’m fascinated by all the labels. I’m into bdsm and mix that with all the transgender labels and i’m in whirl! anyway i sorta label myself as an asexual transgenderist. Since i’m a witch also and two spirit the innuendo of naming has extra meaning. When one looks at the ancient past and the position transgenders have held throughout the ages, the current dynamic is very strange!
the weirdest label i have had to deal with is transbian. actually it’s a simple concept but my mind sorta goes into a black hole when i try to figure it out. which sex is which!
then there is the faery blue god; androgenous. i see labels and sorting things out as an opportunity. in the magical world opportunities are very special. Transgenders have such potential. Our potential is actually twisted and waisted much of the time. But for the most part we go quietly on our way and do what we must. But our hearts are soaring!
I don’t focus focus on the label, but rather the right to express who I am. I can understand and tolerate those who do not understand my lifestyle, as well as their labels (derogatory or otherwise). However, if someone interferes with my right to express myself …. watch out! *SMILE*

For many years I was a crossdresser until I realized I realy shoulkd be a Woman. My transitioning has started and soon I will be spending my first year complet4ely female and truly feel Transgender is best if a label in necessary.

Hi,
I tryed to put my pic up sorry it would not & last time i lost my post as well..
As that would give you an idear of what i look like .
The names iv used, Transfemale tho the trans is close or was , is not really me nor female for that matter & im not a transesexual or dresser.
Im a brain wired intersex woman. androgynous . so really im both male & woman or was a woman in the making ,
As we are all different & i did not fit in wether i was percived as male or even female because i dont have my womb i can not claim female.
For all intents & purposes im accepted just as a woman. who has a male past which is stiil a part of who i am .
When i meet people & im talking about 1000s i do get him or he or she or her. ,
I really dont care because this is who i am .
So what name do i use. im just a normale women with a background .
so as iv said i sure as am different.
& you know what, it works for . it may be thats why i get on with so many people .
To try & sum me up in one word its the …ALL..of me that makes this kid who i am.
The Waimate GIRL.

I believe my truest identity is as a transsexual person because what I desire more than anything else is to become fully female–anatomically, behaviorally, socially, and in any way I can think of.
Trouble, is, I’m married with kids and I don’t want to hurt my family. I also hold a very public position of trust, and it’s difficult to impossible to imagine that the adoption of a new gender identity–accompanied later by gender reassignment surgery–would or could be accepted by my “public.”
Hi Lucille, I mostly go by the name michelle these day’s. Being A women is what I reley wanted to be all my life. I conseder my self to be A women. I love the close, the way they feel, and the way look. I live as A women ninty percent of the time. Being as feminin as I can be. I conceder myself A transgender person. I am not gay because I like men. I work very hard to be A women. Some day I will become A women I hope. It is very hard to do that in the USA. To get help the caust is very high. Everything one has to go through is very tough. So I am transgendered but I like to be labeled as MIS. Thankyou I hope every person out ther can who they reley are. To thine own self be true. LOVE Michelle
well labels are good for those that don’t understand but many have no idea on the definition of a label. there are some words that are not used in the trans community any longer or rarely used. and many are derogatory.
but to answer your question, i dont have a label i go by.. its what ever ppl believe i am..
