Choosing the right words to describe your gender identity can feel tricky. For transgender and non-binary people, finding a label that fits is personal and important.
Using respectful language matters. Outdated or offensive terms can hurt, so it’s okay to set boundaries about how others address you.
At the same time, you are more than a label. What matters most is how you choose to define yourself, no matter where you are on the gender spectrum.
Do you have a label that feels right – like crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary, or something else?
I’d love to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
I’m a crossdresser that never got the nuts to come out of the closed, my femme life is still a secret 🙁
hi maria
don’t worry about that, i’m in the same situation as you are!!
i love to be feminin, as soon i get home, i took all the male clothes, and i’m free!!! i dressed as woman, because that’s what i think from the moment, i go out to work, till i arrived!…but like you sad…inside the closet!!!
I like transgender women if any, I’m 50 and have had female thoughts and wants from when I was 5.
I see myself as a transgender woman, but when I’m presenting as Caroline I feel like a woman and want to be accepted and treated as a woman. Re the latter, I think I’m seen as a woman by most people until I open my mouth. But sometimes I think people just think I’m a woman with a deeper voice. I get referred to as ma’am quite a lot. I’m a senior and because of that plus electrolysis, I don’t have a beard shadow.
I am a cross-dresser who loves dressing as a woman. If someone wishes to call me something else it does not bother me.
Hi Lucille: I am a 65 year old male but have felt half of me is female from about the age of 7. I consider myself as transgender. I am a true Gemini because I spend part of my time in each personna. I am passable and as a woman look 20 years younger than my male person. Does Happiness have something to do with that? I think so!! I don’t like labels, I like to see what’s inside. It’s what in the heart that counts for me.
Love your articles and posts.
I consider myself as a crossdresser and I am damn proud of it. Many genetic women compliment me on my appearance and treat me like one of the girls.
Does it really matter what others think or say as long as you are happy.
I’m bigendered. 60% male. 40% female.
