When it comes to expressing your gender identity, navigating labels can be tricky. For those identifying as transgender or non-binary, finding the right words is essential.
Obviously, it’s important for people to use language that respects and reflects your identity. Outdated or offensive terms can be hurtful.
However, it’s important to remember that you’re more than just a label!
Ultimately, what matters most is how you personally want to be addressed, regardless of where you fall on the gender spectrum.
So, let’s talk about it!
Do you have a particular term or label that resonates with you – such as crossdresser, transgender woman, non-binary person, or something else?
I’m eager to hear your thoughts, so let’s continue the conversation in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
Even though I’m not fond of labels of any kind, I do realize they are used every day. I consider myself a transgender woman. I go out dressed as a female every where I go. I enjoy being the woman I have become, and look forward to being more. Thank you for a great forum. Kelsey
Hey Lucille,
I identify as a person who enjoys being them self. If somebody needs to identify me out loud in person, I think a T-girl encompasses all that is needed. But if someone is rude and says something bad, I ask if they are ignorant or just stupid. Then I walk away.
For society’s purposes I am a cross dresser, as for myself, am living a dream and if I have my way wish to go ft living as a woman
I just identity as woman.
I guess i would be labeled transgendered.I love to wear feminine clothes and wear makeup nail polish and perfume.i use lafy speedstick antipersurant and i love the way i feel when dressed feminine.i like pinks purples and reds.i wear panties all the time.
I hate labels, but am smart enough to know that society can’t function without everthing in its place, neatly labeled. Technically, I am a post operative transgender woman, and even that is to much information for most people. The label that I prefer is a woman. People get way too hung up over this issue. I also detest the term passable in describing my appearance and how I act. That implies to me, that I am faking being a woman. I am a woman period.
I’m just a crossdresser
Generally I label myself a woman to society, and if the situation calls for me to be more specific like when I attempt to describe my life to other people I use the word “transwoman”. I have been taking hormones, but I haven’t had “The Operation” and probably never will. However I seem to be happy most of the time, and that’s about all anyone can ask for no matter what your gender may be.
