It’s a bit taboo to talk about the hair “down there”, but let’s face it …
Having a neatly groomed bikini area is an important part of your feminine presentation!
In this article, I’m going to share my best bikini hair removal tips for crossdressers and MTF transgender women.
The most common bikini hair removal options include:
- Waxing
- Using a depilatory cream
- Shaving
Waxing
Waxing offers the longest lasting results. You can either purchase a do-it-yourself kit or get a professional wax.
I recommend going to a salon if possible. (Do-it-yourself waxing is difficult and painful if you don’t know what you’re doing.) Most big cities offer male waxing, so you shouldn’t have any issues finding this service.
Using a Depilatory Cream
Using a depilatory cream is a great option for the bikini area since it’s virtual painfree. Just keep in mind that depilatories should never be applied directly to the genital area.
Shaving
Shaving is a fast and easy bikini hair removal option – though there are definitely some tricks to shaving this area.
Here are 4 tips for shaving your bikini hair:
- Trim first. To avoid clogging up your razor, use a scissors to trim your hair before you shave.
- Use the right razor. The bikini area is tricky to navigate, so use a razor especially designed for this purpose. I recommend Noxzema Bikini Shavers or the Philips Norelco Bodygrooming System.
- Avoid irritation. Use a shaving cream for sensitive skin. Go slow and avoid shaving over the same area repeatedly as this can lead to razor burn.
- Avoid ingrown hairs. The bikini area is especially prone to ingrown hairs, which is NOT a sexy look. Exfoliate daily using a loofah or washcloth to prevent ingrown hairs.
Now let’s hear from you …

P.S. Now that you’ve got the hair “down there” taken care of, let’s talk about the more visible aspects of your image!

My men friends always compliment me on my landing strip. I have been told it looks so sexy and that a lot of gurls do not leave that lil patch of hair. I have had that for the last 5 years and it is almost maintenance free, easy to keep up on and to keep it looking natural. I just love that lil gurlie touch that i have. veronnica/ronnie
I’m learning so much from this site…today we went to the Mac counter at Macy’s for another make over…the girl’s there are wonderful and make make us feel great when we leave…Girls, get out and do it! Make mistakes and learn from them, evaluate, make the needed adjustments and go back out…
Thank u for your encouraging tips. You look very pretty
Thank You for these wonderful tips. But what about the rest of my body any suggestions for that?
I found the best thing for shaving your vagina ( or vulva for you nerds ) is to go with the hair, THEN against the hair. I got this old technique from my best friend a long time ago. Also, the more blades, the better! I use a six-bladed razor and it works SOOO well! Hope these tips work for everyone and welcome to the long journey of feeling younger, sexier, and happier!
Thank you for all tips-just need to complete my dreams
Brazilians look and feel great and really feels great during sex as it makes thing much more sensitive. I do it via complete body waxes I hate body hair<

I have extremely sensitive skin, more than most, and I cannot find a way to remove this haor without REALLY irritating myself (to the point where I can’t walk) please help. I feel so down about myself cause of it. Any advice??
There is a new nair out specially made for sensitive skin. i use it and it works for me, especially since i have REALLY sensitive skin. hope this helps.
I used an epilator (Braun Silk-epil Xelle) for eighteen months, and switched back to a razor (Gillette Venus Embrace-5 blade cartridge).
This depilatory product has been around a while, and originally formulated for African-American beards. It was recently recommended for genital grooming on another site, and is available at CVS. I haven’t tried it yet, but I’ll give it a shot at $5.00 for a six oz. tube.

JOAN
