Traveling offers a fresh perspective on the world and can be especially liberating for crossdressers and transgender women.
When you go on a trip, it’s an opportunity to express your feminine self away from the routines and expectations of home.
The freedom to be your true self in a new, unfamiliar place can be truly liberating!
Considering all the benefits of taking a transgender or crossdressing vacation, I’m curious: Do you travel en femme?
Please take my poll and share your MTF travel experiences or aspirations in the comments below!

Before I started your program, my girlfriend and I took a trip to Montreal where we stayed at a lesbian bed and breakfast in the Latin quarter/ Gay village area. We went out several nights dressed up and attended our hosts’ New Year’s party that way too. Shopping was great. The male staff at le Chateau clothing store were eager to suggest dresses and tops for me.
Now that my breasts are growing in and I am eliminating my facial hair, my confidence is increasing so I hope to do more things en femme.
Last weekend, I went to a straight psychedelic dance party in a dress. I felt more out of place for being so much older than everybody than because I was in a dress, but the kids were great at making me feel welcome.
I do travel out often en-femm. I’ve gone away for wknds entirely in femm mode and to ensure it IS a totally feminine wknd I don’t bring any male clothing

Living 24/7 since last May everywhere I go I go femme. Shopping, out to eat, visiting friends, paying bills, etc.
The only travel I haven’t tried yet is flying. I’m not sure how that will work out with all the restrictions post 9/11.
But being I need to visit friends and family in New England and currently living in Florida. I know I’ll have to cross that bridge/hurdle at some point.
Just having moved back to my Florida home in Oct. I know it won’t happen this year due to economics of a fixed income and moving expenses. But maybe sometime after the New Year.I’ll let you know how it goes when it happens.
Always

Hello everyone, it is very nice to hear from all of you and your exciting encounters. I also go out dressed whenever I can get out of town. I have no problems going anywhere but I am made quite alot but I just go on and never pay any attension to others, no confortations then. I do love going clothes shopping and most of the ladies in shops are eager to help, especially now with money being tight. I also love going to clubs dressed up and most are very accepting, especially the girls, they find it very interesting that I would likee to be a girl. I go to Las Vegas once in awhile for a week or so at a time and live fulltime while I am there and it is just so great to be able to be me 24/7. Take care everyone and have a lovely time being your true self. Ashley
My truck has 491,640 miles on it an every one of them miles I was dressed en femme. I am 63 years old and 52 years was femme. I have never Been made , I even told my siblings that was crossdresser and they should have none better Thanks Ronni
I enjoy going out to the park, shopping or just for a drive.
May favorite time was at the river walk and a family with three hyper kids ran past me as I sat and read my book, there mother told them to “settle down that pretty lady was trying to read”. I just looked up and smiled.
Thank you Lucille for all your fantastic tips!

I am always too scared to go out en femme, though I dress femme often at home. Do any of you ladies have any tips for me?
I have been TG for many years. I work en homme and at home en femme. It isn’t a lack of courage that keeps me in, but choice.
Many people think they know me well in this small ultra-conservative town. I know these people well enough to know I would no longer be welcome as TG.
Know your community well. Are they accepting of TGs? Do the treat people with alternative lifestyles fairly? Or do they ignore them altogether?
If the answer is yes, then you have little to worry about. If your answer is a resounding “NO” then maybe a short trip to a nearby town that is more tolerant, may be in order.
Following all this wonderful advice that Lucille has will help you “pass” as female, but in the early stages, you will still look like a guy in a dress.
I would say stay in until you feel comfortable going out en femme, but if you are in one of those ultra-conservative neighborhoods or towns, like me, wait until you can pass en femme. You will avoid a lot of headaches.
Good Luck, Sister!
I travel enfemme every chance I get.
