Your name plays a big part in shaping your feminine identity.
Some names sound sweet and innocent, some are classic and regal, while others exude an exotic and mysterious vibe.
As a crossdresser or trans woman, you have the unique opportunity of choosing your own female name.
If you’re like most of my readers, there’s a story behind your chosen feminine name.
So, in this blog post, I’d love to hear about the special meaning behind your name.
Please leave a comment below, sharing your feminine name and the story of how and why you chose it for yourself.
I’m excited to hear the story!
Love,
Lucille
I finally realized that I was transgendered when I was in middle school. I’d known there was something different about me far longer, but I didn’t have the word for it, I didn’t know it was a thing. Around the same time, I was reading the novel Contact (by Carl Sagan, also movie starring Jodie Foster) for the first time and it quickly became my favorite book. No other character has affected me as strongly as Ellie Arroway, so “Ellie” is the name I chose for myself when I finally decided to go through with the transition!
Marilyn Monroe has the class beauty and sexiness that I choose to identify with. I am naturally a blonde and wish to further that identification with the lovely Marilyn Monroe as far as I can. . . . Thus, I chose “Marilyn” as my feminine name. . .
Well Lucille, I took the easy way of choosing my Fem name. Lwarence simply became Lauren. Some might think Laura is the more natural adaptatin but that is my daughter’s name so I didn’t want confusion that way.
Hi Lucille,
I chose my name from a book I was reading, The title character had the name and I fell in love with it. I think it is one of the most beautiful names I have ever heard.
Lucille,
I chose this name because it is close to my given name (which I like) and it feels right.
I chose my name after a period of reflection. I just like the name “Melanie,” as it seems to me a feminine name. My chosen middle name is “Anne,” which I chose as a way of honoring my long-suffering wife; her middle name is “Ann.” Lastly, my last name is a surname version of my male 1st name. Melanie Anne Quinn just as a certain ring to it, in my humble opinion.
Just felt right!!!! Makes me feel feminine, delicate and 100% woman. As for the last name, cos women tell me they are jealous of my figure and I actually will make a great model!! ;;)
Julie 🙂
The name always just felt natural to me.
