Your name is a powerful part of your feminine identity.
Some names feel sweet and innocent, others are classic and elegant, and some carry an exotic or mysterious vibe.
As a trans woman or crossdresser, you have the unique opportunity to choose a name that reflects who you truly are.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear yours!
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please share your story in the comments below. I can’t wait to read it!

I chose the name Teresa because I dated a girl back in the 70’s and I always liked that name. I’m very happy to be Teresa, plus I gave myself a middle name as Maria. I am Teresa Maria…
I was given David at birth.
I hated the name.
The people I knew who crossdress have taken a variation of thier virth name. That would make me Davina. It sounded too much like the given name I hated, so I took a shortened name of it as Vina. I love the name. My middle female name is Aoi. Aoi comes from Japan, it means blue as in the colour blue. Many Japanese women were named Aoi (pronounced eh-oh-eee)
I CHOSE “EVONNA” BECAUSE ,MY BUDDY HAD GIRLFRIEND NAMED EVON,AND SOUND ALOT LIKE MY MALE NAME.
Some years ago my mother told me that if I had been born a girl she would have named me Cheryl. Sadly, I was not. My dad’s cousin, my mom’s best friend was pregnant after I was born, so my mom told her that she felt like she was never going to have a girl, so if the other wanted the name, she could take it.
My “cousin “ Cheryl passed away about 25 years ago, so to honor her and my mom, I reclaimed the name Cheryl.❤️
Laura was what I was going to be called if I had been born a girl.
My Fem names has nothing to do with my given name. I choose Sandra Lee because of a one of the girls I played with when I was young. Because there were no boys my age in the neighborhood, I was only had the three girls that lived close by. We would play with their dolls and they would put me in one of their panties and dresses. They started calling me Sandy and I loved the name. I can be Sandra, or playful Sandy or deamur Saudra depending on my mode. My given name was Robert but I wished I could have changed it legally years ago as there are no none of the variations of Robert that felt like who I really am as a women.
Hugs
Sandy
Good evening. I have been dressing since 11 I suppose. Well, anyway, I was told to take my fathers last name and my mom’s last name and that is how I had gotten Harlowe. Well now I always enjoyed the movie goddess Jean Harlow and with a switch of one letter this is where “Jan Harlowe” came into being and set permanently. I watched, studied her and mimic-ed her. She was 100 female and a great lady. Still trying to fill her shoes. Thank to you for reading and G’day!
Pretty obvious. I was born Christopher, hated it. Always known as Chris or Chrissy by family. elected to stay Chrissy that can be written several ways.
