Your name plays a big part in shaping your feminine identity.
Some names sound sweet and innocent, some are classic and regal, while others exude an exotic and mysterious vibe.
As a crossdresser or trans woman, you have the unique opportunity of choosing your own female name.
If you’re like most of my readers, there’s a story behind your chosen feminine name.
So, in this blog post, I’d love to hear about the special meaning behind your name.
Please leave a comment below, sharing your feminine name and the story of how and why you chose it for yourself.
I’m excited to hear the story!
Love,
Lucille
Why Rita? At first it is not my feminine name, it is my real name. Because as my genetic girlfriend Yulia considers (she is certified psychologist of MTF problems), MTF is a girl from the birth but in boy’s body. Dresses have never been for me the clothes of opposite sex and I’ve never been CD. At first from the childhood I have choosen the name Sveta because the full name Svetlana is very nice. But in Institute I’ve listened to the Beatles songs and one song by the voice of Ringo Star “Lovely Rita” was sounded so beautiful that it penetrated deep into my soul and filled my feminine essence the new pink reason. And it was so adequate with the second name of my Lithuan Granny -Vakaraite.Vakaraite means in English feminine essence of evening dawn. Rita Vakaraite. What can be sounded more femininely? Maybe Lucille Sorella ( I really love this sound) or Candice Night.
I originally took the name Andrea as a feminization of my drab name, but changed later to Amanda. It allows me to use the nick name Mandy, and it allows me a tounge in cheek inuendo of “A Man, duh!”
i am 29 and ever since i was 11 i have always had the name racheal in my head. no matter what i did or where i went it was there. around the same time i was going through a hard time as to whether or not tell anyone about who i really was so i had to keep racheal hidden. since i came out not to long ago to my fam ily and friends the first question was always asked, “whats your name?” and the first time i was asked i didnt even hesitate to answer with racheal, it kind of caought me off gaurd like i always knew it was my name. since then i havent gone by anything else and dont even answer to my old name anymore
When I was born my parents name me Jose Maria. Just like you said, you do get attached to your name, but I guess I’m very lucky or my parents had psychic powers, because all I did was just simply revert the order of my name to Maria Jose. I LOVE that name, is so powerful and beautiful, not to mention feminine 😉 So for all of my friends I’m know as simply Maria. I know I’m in trouble when I hear MARIA JOSEEEE!! ^_^
Hi Lucille on the 21st of april 2011 i changed my name by legal deedpoll, which was the happyest day of my life i am over the moon.I have also been for my first psychiatrist appointment to do with gender reasignment, but i am at the verry beginning of my transition.you know me has Mr Arthur David. Buckingham, but i am now known has Miss.Andrea.Davinia.Buckingham.
I chose Storm for the way I feel being me and what I do,because I am two opposites.
Very simply, the name Joni is some what like John, but in the real sense, I liked the singer Joni Mitchell. So, sine the initial “J”is the first letter of both names, I used it. My middle name will stay the same Jay
My masculine name is a root of my chosen feminine name. I didn’t like Josephine because my birth name was Joe and not Joseph. Joelene has a more free, airy sound to it. This is a recent decision. I had no fem. name preference before in my 58 years of GID. My middle name will remain the same because it is too noble to drop.
I was on your FTF program for 1 year and had to quit it for HRT. The FTF program did pretty well for the first 3 months after which I had a wide A cup. The progress plateaued and after 6 months, the masculine traits came back with a vengeance. I found that the saw palmetto had aggrevated my irritated prostate and shot up my PSA and testosterone levels. The HRT quelled those symptoms in 2 1/2 weeks.
I would not try saw palmetto as a cure for a already high PSA reading! This irritation may bring on the progressive cancer that killed Dan Fogelberg at age 56. There are some cases which it did quell the symptoms of BPH (a different animal) such as urinary problems that BPH brings. My 4 year cancer scare ended for now after my PSA reading went well below the trigger level for a cancer biopsy after 5 months of HRT.
The herbals did not do so well with me, but seeing the satisfied customers on your blog here shows hope for others that cannot get access to or don’t want HRT. I love your feminization blogs and videos even though I am a tomboy! Thanks, Lucille for this kind of information and care for us transwomen. Love,
Joelene.
