I started wearing panties and such at an early age. I shopped at V.S. and received the catalogs.
I was smitten with Laetitia Casta. I wished to look just like her, but until then I’ll just borrow her name.
When I started my transition (m2f) about a year ago, I decided on Brooke because that would have been my sons name if he was born a girl. I have always liked the name. I chose Katherine as a middle name because its close to my oldest sisters (kathlene), she has been such an inspration for me. Having had a brain tumor removed in the 70’s and has had complication arise periodically since. But manages to live a normal life. So now Brook Katherine is my legal name…who needs a male name anyway…..lol
My great grandfather’s firstborn (Elizabeth) was bosn in 1862. Her mother died when Lizzie was young. Whileat Mt. Holyoke, she brought a freshman home with her for Thanksgiving. My great grandfather married the young lady, and Lizzie was very angry about it. She never forgave him, and was estranged from the family. Several yers ago, after my father died, I was going through some assorted papers, and came across two diaries that Lizzie had kept. It turns out, she was a lesian. Putting two and two together, I figured out the young lady she had brought home was a paramour. My given initials are DE, so, in honor of my grandfather’s half sister, I chose Elizabeth. Dorothy has a nice ring to it, and allows me to continue to use my given intials.

Hi Lucille,
I was searching for a femme name and had always thought how feminine Jacqueline sounded. I also remembered the tall dark haired, original “Charlie’s Angels” actress was called Jacqueline. So after trying several other names, including the female version of my male name, I settled for Jacqueline/Jacqui. And now it just seems natural, and feminine, to be called by that name.
Love and kisses,
Jacqui XXXXX
My name came about as follows: The wife of a friend was called by him Claudi. I liked the name at that time.Later i called me Claudi,my real name is Klaus ,so it was easy for me to take this name.

Well, choosing my name was a long and thoughtful process. En femme, I go by Abby Eden Olivia Lane. Each one has a bit of a story. “Eden” is the name that was chosen for me by the wonderful woman who first embraced me as a woman; also “Lane” is her last name, so I adopted that, too. “Abby” comes from my current girlfriend who sometimes refers to me affectionately as “Abby Normal”. “Olivia” is one I chose myself because I just think it’s an absolutely beautiful name. So, really, I have three names from the three most important women in my life – my girlfriend, my lifelong best friend, and myself!
