Your name plays a big part in shaping your feminine identity.
Some names sound sweet and innocent, some are classic and regal, while others exude an exotic and mysterious vibe.
As a crossdresser or trans woman, you have the unique opportunity of choosing your own female name.
If you’re like most of my readers, there’s a story behind your chosen feminine name.
So, in this blog post, I’d love to hear about the special meaning behind your name.
Please leave a comment below, sharing your feminine name and the story of how and why you chose it for yourself.
I’m excited to hear the story!
Love,
Lucille
Hello,
It took me a whole year to decide what name I wanted. I wanted a mixed name between Asian and Western.
Therefore I chose Kira, which is an English word for Killer, from an anime. This inspired me to be the best that I can be so I can have the Killer look.
XOXO
Kira
I was given the name Stephannie. I decided on the double n though. Its a very long story but the abridgement is my wife gave me the name. At the time I would have preferred something completely different to my male name. Stephen though always known as just Steve.
But I have grown into the name and I quite like it now, though I wasn’t so keen on it first of all.
I have been taking and reading your newsletter for a long time. although in general I am not really an active blogger I had a few minutes to spare when your mail arrived so here I am lol.
Keep up the newsletters please that are quite often but not always of interest to me.
Stephannie xx
Hi all,
I picked the name Shirley in honor my poor sister Cheryl who’s had such a hard life due to mental illness. We had to take her only child as an infant, her gifted lovely daughter now 15 and doing well, and raise her because she could not. We don’t let family go. The historical meaning of Shirley is a joyful and loving spirit which fits me well. I am a Corning family member.
Group hug and a high five,
Shirley

Well, what IS in a name? I gave it some thought, but at the time I needed a name in the near future. I could have pondered more, but I keep feeling happier and happier about Joan, so it’s working out ok. I am a bit older than some, and there were several Joans amoung my female contemporaries in the young old days. It’s a handle I can be comfortable with. I also wanted one that was not at all flashy or cute, maybe even a little dowdy. And, Joan is sorta loosely associated with the name of my previous me. A nice simple, one-syllable name (even a four-letter word for whut it’s worth). So, all those pieces fit nicely, and da-DAAA, Joan it is! The pals of my earlier existence seem to be adapting well to it. The only problem is, if I am sloppy and not projecting feminine as well as I should be, some guys think I’m introducing myself as “Joe”, so if there is any chance of misunderstanding, I will emphasize the “n”, hopefully not too awkwardly.
Thanks fer askin’
Hi Lucille,
I chose the name Lynne-Anne after two of my sisters middle names. One died eleven years ago and hers became the first part of my hyphenated first name. My middle name is Elizabeth which I do not usually post but is also the middle name of my third sister. My last name is actually my last name. I love the feminine sound of “Lynne-Anne”.
