Your name is an important part of your feminine identity.
Some names feel sweet and innocent, others are classic and elegant, and some carry an exotic or mysterious vibe.
As a crossdresser or trans woman, you have the unique privilege of choosing your own female name—a name that truly reflects who you are.
For many of you, there’s a special story behind your chosen name.

Love,
Lucille
my name was Neil so i turned it into Nicola which i am now
My first sexual experience was with a young lady called Sandra, known as Sandie. She was the dominant partner, I’m ashamed to say and she had me several times. Ironically, many years later, I “came out” to a woman at work who was also called Sandra and she also seemed to be dominant.
She christened me “Sandie” and said it suited me ! I was thrilled and became her regular sissy. I was married by then and decided to end the relationship, as it was getting out of hand. Her reaction was devastating. She told all my work colleagues that I was a “mincing tranny” and I was totally humiliated. My boss immediately told me he felt my credibilty was destroyed and he didn’t want a “nancyboy” manager working for him, so he sacked me. So I reckon I’ve earned the right to call myself Sandie !
Hi Lucille,
Growing up I went by the name Lenny, which is the nickname for Len or Leonard. It is also the nickname for the feminine name Lenora. I choose that name because I feel that is the feminine side of my male name. I thought it was a beautiful and uncommon name. I choose the last name from the movie parent trap, from the character mother Elizabeth James.
She was a classy elegant woman, that designed clothing and bridal gowns. I just loved her style in the movie and would dream of having that sort of a career. That’s how I choose Lenora James…Thank you
You look great Lenora. If you ever choose to go full time and start HRT you would transition nicely I think. The name is also very strong and I think it fits you. You can tell a lot about a person by their smile. And you have a very confident smile/demeanor.
You know the old television show ‘Mork & Mindy’?, well hence ‘Mike & Mandy’ (Michael being my male name).
Christine has always been my favorite female name, that’s how I came to be Mandy-Christine.
I was given the name by my lover he liked calling me Mona and where he got the name i have never asked but i liked it as well so i took it.
Mona
Hi Lucielle
I chose my name to honour the females. As you know my name is Jagjeet. If you break it into two parts i.e. Jag + Jeet, its meaning in Hindi (Indian Language) ‘Jag’ means World and ‘Jeet’ means Winner. that means ‘Winner of the World’. This way to honour and show the power of womanhood I took this name.
Hi Lucille,
I took my first name because I love it and it fits like a glove. My middle name is in honor of my aunt who loved life to its fullest and always told me I can be whatever I want. I know she would have understood my wanting to be a woman.

In the beginning I wanted a girl name there was laying close to my boy mane “Svend”, so I choosed “Susanne”. Because I wanted to have the girl name as a legal name, my lawyer tolled me to choose a legal unisex name. So I choosed Andrea, wich are a unisex name in some countries, and a boy name in few countries. But the most of the world think at a girl when they hear the name Andrea. To day my legal name are Svend Andrea Jensen, and I love it!
