Your name is a powerful part of your feminine identity.
Some names feel sweet and innocent, others are classic and elegant, and some carry an exotic or mysterious vibe.
As a trans woman or crossdresser, you have the unique opportunity to choose a name that reflects who you truly are.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear yours!
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please share your story in the comments below. I can’t wait to read it!
Love,
Lucille

Lucille, my birth name is Derrick but as I learned once when i was younger, my parents were told to expect a girl from the doctor. My original birth certificate is made out to “Jessica Danielle”. They managed to amend it quickly, but I found myself to like the name and have chosen it as my femme name.
Lucille,
I chose Kristin because I have always thought it to be a very beautiful name, had a hair stylist named Kristin and have always admired the actress Kristin Davis.
I looked up the meaning of Kristin, it is latin, meaning “follower of Christ”
Kristin goes well with my God given last name which is that of the “archangel”
Always lived my life by the following quote “do not follow the path that others lead, rather go where there is no path and leave a trail….”
Love Ya,
Kristin Gabriel
I chose Lori as my name because she can be sexy and playful but also a down to earth and a well respected woman! So to me the name implies I can be girlie or a very common sense woman with a sexy name!
I am a late onset trans person, born in the 1940s, so I had to be careful to avoid modern names like ‘Tiffany’. I was named Phillip after my aunt Phyllis who is now 94 years old. Everyone, except my mother, calls me Phil so it was a simple matter to change the ‘i’ to a ‘y’, and I will still answer to the same sounding name. When I have fully gone through the transition I will be known by feminine names that have the same initials and signature as my male names. It’s a bit hard to change your signature after 50 odd years of signing papers without thinking about it.
I just like my new name(ivana),i don’t know why ,but i love that name
Ivana
hi lucille,
i choose samantha after ”samantha jones” on sex and the city i just think the character of samantha is a modern woman someone to emulate. maria was my late mothers middle name.i wanted to honor her because she was a great mother and a great woman
Hi Lucille, My given name is Robert, but I go by Bob.So I thought i’d use Bobbie as a fem.name as Bobbie is rather unusual female name….
My name came about cause everyone has always called me Rickey.. So I simply changed the spelling so now even those that dissapprove of my new life is calling me by my femme name Ricci 🙂
