I chose Erika in honor of psychologist/philosopher Erik Erikson who after being abandoned by his birth father changed his name to mean erik, son of myself. I have lots more thoughts on the power of names, but this is one that has stuck with me for many years since psych 101 so long ago.
Hello,
Trisha is only two letters different than Thomas. it just seem natural and sounded just right. My parents have passed but I am sure they would have approved of it.
Hi Lucille,
Actually I did not choose my name, my mother did. Born as a boy, I was raised as a girl by her because she wanted only daughters. Of course, I had to be registered under a male name, but now I am really Veronica, although I had no operation, but I have been living and feeling as a girl all the time, and eventually I was permitted by the authorities to take on my name officially.
Hi was at the city hall for my city paying the water bill, I saw this girl who had the cutest little face working there. I loved how small, cute and innocent her face looked I had to ask her for her name. her name was kacie, I loved the name so much i took it for my first name. for my middle name Anne, my male name was andrew so I took the an from andrew and turned it into anne, that and ann had been the middle name for girls in my family for 5 generations, so I just added an e to the end of the ann and made it anne.
I have always been fascinated by the name Savanna and decided to adopt that name. I have added Joy since it gave me much joy.

Hey hun, I choose Nikita Elise for my first and middle name because I like the sound of each one individually as well as together.
I wanted my fiance to pick the name she thought fit me best. She is very feminine and I strive to look and act, walk and talk, like her. She wanted to choose a name for me that was a twist on my original name, but also didn’t relate to anyone else that we knew. She suggested Cheryl and I liked it, so we’ve used that ever since! 🙂
