Top 12 MTF Voice Training Resources
1. Genderlife – One-On-One Video Consultation With Andrea James
Andrea James is the creator of GenderLife, which includes a number of transition-related resources for transgender, transfeminine, nonbinary, non-conforming, and genderqueer people.
She offers personal one-on-one voice consultations for transgender and non-transgender people who want to make their voices sound more masculine or feminine. A 30 minute video consultation is $60 and a 60 minute video consultation is $100.
2. Olivia Flanigan – Gender Affirming Voice Lessons
Olivia Flanigan is a gender-affirming voice educator and singer-songwriter who found her passion for the voice and being of service to others leading her to gender-affirming voice work.
She offers private gender affirming voice lessons ($100 for 45 minutes), vocal feminization group classes ($499 for an 8-week group class), and True Fem-Voice Practice Circles ($25 for 1 hour). All sessions take place via Zoom.
3. Your Lessons Now – Online Transgender Voice Training
Your Lessons Now will help you find the voice that is true to yourself. They can help develop your feminine voice, masculine voice, or androgynous voice. They can help with both your speaking and singing voice.
Lessons are offered online with various voice instructors. Each of these transgender voice coaches goes through extensive training before starting to work with students.
Standard classes will cost you $50 for 30 minutes and $80 for 60 minutes. Elite classes cost $60 and $100 for 30 minutes and 60 minutes, respectively. They also provide group classes for $25. Sliding-scale options are also available if requested.
4. Renée Yoxon – Trans Voice Teacher
Renée Yoxon, is a nonbinary singer, trans voice teacher, and songwriter with more than 10 years of experience. She offers a number of resources to help trans people love their voices.
The Trans Voice Basics course is a mini-course introduction to trans voice alteration for $27. She also offers a more extensive course called Trans Vocal Exploration, which covers all aspects of trans voice alteration. This course is $165.
Additionally, you can apply for one-on-one voice coaching with Renée Yoxon, including a single 90-minute voice consult or various packages.
5. Vox Nova Voice Studio – Vocal Training for Trans People
Vox Nova is a voice studio dedicated to helping students explore their vocal gender presentation. It was founded by Wellington Hearth da Silva, a vocal instructor and performer.
Vox Nov offers private voice lessons in two formats:
- Closed Lessons: You and your instructor will be working in a private voice-chat with no one else present.
- Auditable Lessons: You and your instructor will be working one on one in a voice-chat where you two are the only people speaking, but other students will be able to audit the lesson and learn from the work that you are doing.
For closed lessons, rates are $50 and $95 for 25 and 55-minute lessons. Auditable lessons will cost you $40 and $75 for 25 and 55-minute lessons.
6. TransVoiceLessons – Private Lessons, Group Courses & Consultations
TransVoiceLessons offers a range of quality services specifically for transgender and non-binary individuals.
Zheanna Erose is the founder and creator of TransVoiceLessons. As a transwoman with a 15-year background in music, audio production, and acoustics, Zheanna synthesized these passions to solve her own vocal dysphoria.
TransVoiceLessons currently offers consults, group classes, and single lessons with 3 different coaches including Zheanna, Clover Grigsby, and Vivienne Snow.
7. Fluid Voice Studio – Identity-Affirming Voice Lessons
Fluid Voice Studio teaches trauma-informed, identity-affirming and gender-neutral voice lessons. Private and group lessons are taught by lead teacher Dusty and apprentice teacher Finch.
The lead teacher is Dusty Nebula Allaway, a non-binary voice educator who has been teaching voice since 2020. Apprentice teacher Finch has been teaching public voice lessons since early 2021.
The rates are $15 for a 10-minute consult, $65 for a 45-minute voice lesson, and $260 for a redeemable certificate of five lessons.
8. Prismatic Speech Services – Transgender Vocal Training
Prismatic Speech Services specializes in rehabilitative voice therapy and transgender vocal training. Services are available in 14 states with a variety of clinicians, including the founder Kevin Dorman, a speech language pathologist.
Standard sessions are $100/session. Additionally, Prismatic Speech Services offers a micro-grant fund. Based on a client’s income and financial needs, the fund can cover up to 50% of the cost of sessions.
9. Christella VoiceUp App – Voice Feminization App
This voice feminization app enables trans women to begin their voice transformation journey with the help of a world-renowned voice expert.
Christella Antoni is the UK’s leading authority on transgender voice modification and a consultant speech and language therapist with more than 20 years of experience.
This app-based training consists of three courses, each with five lessons spread out over two hours. Speechtools’ speech synthesis algorithms are included, so you can track the progression of your vocal change.
10. Undead Voice Lab – Online Voice Program for Trans, Non-Binary, and Gender Diverse Folks
Undead Voice was founded by speech pathologist and gender voice specialist Nicole Gress. Undead Voice Lab is a lifetime membership guiding you step-by-step through your full voice transition.
Undead Voice Lab includes a variety of trans voice transition courses including Foundations, VF Configurations, Vocal Tilt, Lips – Resonance, Larynx – Resonance, Pitch, Dynamics, Project, and Sustain.

11. Seattle Voice Lab – MTF Voice Training and Feminization
Seattle Voice Lab offers MTF voice training and feminization with a tailored trans voice coaching program. It was founded by Claire Michelle, a trans woman with an extensive background in vocal performance.
Seattle Voice Lab offers consultations and voice lessons. The Trans Voice Program is $150 per lesson (50 mins) and consists of 4-6 sessions. It’s designed to give you the tools, techniques, support, and environment you need to build a voice that represents who you are.
12. Vocal Feminization for Beginners – 30 Day Transformation

Kaiser Permanente members could look for their Gender Pathways voice coach. I’m not sure where all this is offerred.

Thank you so very much for this helpful information..
I actually learned the techniques for feminine voice production via YouTube. Of course I had a bit of an advantage in that I have had training as a public speaker, so I did have a fair control over my voice, and I currently have a very passable contralto voice. I’m even recognized as a women even on the phone.
My voice is my most dysphoric issue. I now consult an orthophonist, once a month. It give good result, as long as you do the prescribed exercices, but don’t expect overnight result.
