Blonde Ambition
Do blondes really have more fun? While that debate continues, one thing’s for sure: blonde hair is vibrant and attention-grabbing.
However, different tones send different signals:
- Warm Shades (like golden blonde): Radiate warmth, youthfulness, and femininity.
- Cool Shades (like platinum blonde): Project a refined, classic vibe.
Brunette Beauty
Brunettes are often seen as intelligent, sophisticated, and seductive. But did you know the shade of brown matters too?
- Light Brown: Gives off a fun and flirty vibe.
- Dark Brown or Black: Adds an air of mystery and allure.
Radiant Redhead
Red hair is rare, with only 2% of the world’s population flaunting this fiery color.
If you see yourself as spicy, passionate, and sexy, you might just be a redhead at heart!
Elegant Silver
Silver hair tells the world that you are a wise and sophisticated lady.
This can be a gorgeous, feminine hair color, especially when it’s shiny and well taken care of.

I am a dirty blonde in desire of a long auburn wig, grin. I will be using wigs not dyes to change my look. The cost of three or four dye jobs will buy the same number wigs that I can change at will without worrying about length.
Finding the “right” colour for me was a long process!
I have to say I’m very, very partial to red hair. I simply adore it! But the first wig I had in that color was a bit heavy, and while the colour was quite natural, it certainly “stood out”… too much. Later I bought a very cheap redhead wig, but the colour was completely “fake” and I quickly gave it up.
Then, because I actually have relatively fair skin, and green-blue eyes, I thought that blonde would look nice on me. Because often the colours on the websites don’t match wig colour exactly — specially on the cheaper end of the business — for a year I used a platinum blonde wig, with bangs. To be honest, it looked ugly. I then bought another one, this time ash blonde with highlights, and it was better, although it made me look older.
For a while I had a brunette wig — again, a problem with matching shades, I thought it would be “honey blonde” but it was a light brownish colour instead. But it actually fit me quite well! I also liked the styling, even though the wig looked a bit too much like a wig.
Then, well, I sort of wanted to be a blonde again, and this time I went to a salon to try wigs before I bought them. The shop attendant was lovely and allowed me to test a few styles and shades; I wanted a blonde one. But to our mutual surprise, the one that looked best on me was a nice medium auburn colour with a few highlights, on a straight style with bangs! We were actually both surprised; and even my wife thought that the colour and the style looked far more realistic on me. When that first wig became too old and worn, I went back to the same shop and bought another one 🙂 — that’s what I have on the picture here.
Later I tried a wig with a deeper auburn. It looked fantastic, but unfortunately it’s just medium length, and those shorter styles don’t flatter my face. So I went back to my silky long medium auburn wig, until, well, it’s really reaching the end of its life. I’ve now ordered a new wig, auburn again, and with a slightly different style. Let’s see how it looks on me when it arrives!
As for your poll… “auburn” is technically neither redhead, nor brunette, but something in-between — since brunette is what comes closer, that’s what I answered on the poll. For the next poll, please add another option for auburn 🙂
What if you dye it a different colour like purple?
I keep my salt and pepper hair at bay with hair coloring closely matching my own. I’m to young to look distinguished. Going blond is tempting though.
Well, I’m naturally a blonde, although a little darker than the shade I’m rocking these days! LOL But that mane is all mine, ladies, no wigs for this girl (knock on wood!) Hugz!
I’m a natural blonde, and with my complexion, no other color has ever really looked good on me, so I stick with what I have.
