Or it could be a smaller victory, like buying your first lipstick or choosing your feminine name.
Even if you’re just starting out, there’s a lot to celebrate. Acknowledging your true self is a significant step forward!
So let’s hear it! What is your greatest transgender or crossdressing achievement?

I have steps set up for my journey into becoming a more feminine person. My next step up is to completely shave and have my ears pierced. Then after that Vegas Diva, SCC and may a couple of other events. What I’m working on now and what I consider my greatest achievement is that I go out dressed. I started by going to clubs late at night, now I sometimes go shopping dressed. Usually I go to stores on slow nights during the week. But that was a big step because I was so nervous and afraid of being made. Which I was and still am. One reason is because I stink at using make-up. I will have to study Lucille’s programs more often I think. I’m planning a make over soon so I can get advice. I went to Sephora this week and finally talked to SA to get foundation that matches my skin tone. That was a big step too but part of my present goals. I’m beginning to feel quite comfortable when I’m out dressed, which is a really good feeling.
My greatest transgender achievement is being on hormones and just being myself clothes shopping and make up shopping being comfortable and passable in public living full time as my true self

My journey journey is a very long one and won’t get to where many have. Because of my job, I can’t present as a woman at work, but always wear a bra and panties, and women’s socks sometimes covering up pantyhose or stockings. Very gradually working on breast enlargement. Have very light pink nail polish on.
My collection of women’s clothes far exceeds my male clothes, will sometimes wear some when go shopping or outside, but mostly wear inside my house. I have dressed up more for the annual Crises Services “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” and won the best shoe contest, and the annual Breast Cancer 5k walk. Everything I wore was pink, including the tutu. Did this with a team from work, mostly women. There were many pics taken, which got posted on our work website. That raised some eyebrows, but used the excuse it was for a good cause.
So don’t really have a best achievement, but maybe getting a little more daring to go out in events like this.
I suppose I’d have to say my greatest achievement thus far as a transgender woman was to help my eldest son, who is gay, to understand that I love him no matter what and that it was his choice. I was the only one he could really talk with comfortably. He was afraid to come out to his Mom and I assured him it was OK. When he finally admitted to me I was right, I told him I knew and understood more than he would ever know and I came out to him. He didn’t know what to say at first but when I told him, he knew I understood him and really did love him. He of course like any young man told all his friends and they said I had to be the coolest parent (or Dad) anyone could ever have. I didn’t expect that nor did I expect to be invited to his parties when they have them. Everyone wants to meet my son’s trans-mom lol. Well, I think this is the greatest achievement of my transgendered life so far.
For me, going out in public fully dressed for the first time in mid-June. I absolutely love wearing nylons, with above the knee skirt and high heels. It just feels so incredibly sexy, and looking down at myself is a real turn-on! Also love my 40D strapless bra with a tight sweater. Would like to dress more and go out more often, but can’t due to my situation.
Since going out in public I feel so much better. I’m working slowing on Lucille’s programs and tips. Don’t worry, I’ll be going out there again. Wouldn’t miss it for the world now!
Dear Lucille,
One of my goals was to walk down Michigan Blvd. in downtown Chicago en femme. It was thrilling because prior to that I had only been outside to go from my car to bars that would accept us. This walk in a busy shopping district was so exciting because I was accepted as just another lady.
Subsequent to that I’ve been to SCC a number of times, in shopping centers, stores, and restaurants. At all times I have been accepted as a woman and treated like a lady. It’s been heavenly.
