Do you want to look younger, prettier, and more feminine? If so, try changing your hairstyle! There’s no easier way to improve your appearance.
What are the best male to female haircuts and styles?
I’m glad you asked!
The most flattering and feminizing hairstyles are ones that help soften strong facial features (like a prominent nose or jaw) while making your eyes and lips pop!
Read on to discover the top 6 MTF transgender hairstyles. Note that these style tips work for both wigs and natural hair.
1. Side Swept Bangs
Bangs are a great option since they draw attention to your eyes while hiding a prominent brow ridge. Bangs also make you look cute and youthful!
Straight bangs can highlight angular facial features, so go for soft, side swept bangs instead.
2. Layers
Layered hairstyles tend to be much more flattering than hair that’s all one length. Face framing layers soften your features and add texture and volume to your hair.
3. Soft Waves
Soft waves are super sexy and feminine. Waves also add volume to your hair, making thin hair appear fuller.
Most trans women and crossdressers look great with full, wavy hair that balances out stronger facial features and a larger body frame.
4. Shoulder Length Hair
Shoulder length hair is the best option for most women, including transgender women. Hair that’s too short can look masculine, while hair that’s too long can drag down your face after a certain age.
Shoulder length hair is very feminine and flattering. Additionally, it helps conceal a stronger jaw or thicker neck (if these are issues for you).
5. Side Parts
Middle parts can be tricky since they make your face look longer and highlight your nose and chin. Side parts are more flattering and can be worn by anybody with any face shape.
6. Highlights
Finally, don’t forget about color! Highlights brighten your face and look softer than a single block of color. Generally speaking, your highlights should be two shades lighter than your base color for the most natural look.
Make everyday a good hair day!
Nothing can boost your appearance like a fabulous hairstyle. As you can see from the tips above, the key is to think SOFT – soft cuts, soft texture, and soft color – to balance and feminize your features.
Hair is an important topic, so I’d love to hear from you!

I invest in human hair wigs. They look natural and easy to style on the wig block.
I love long hair and blonde suits be best (I think).
Absolutely stunning !
Side parts do not work for a widow’s peak, or thinning hair on the sides. It tends to highlight the hair loss. Middle parts tend to hide those. Also, for those with thinning hair, longer hair seems to amplify that, and there are ways to build volume with shorter hair. Also, I would be careful of cheap hair dyes that burn the hair, which makes it even worse for those with hair loss. I have not tried some of the hair restorers such as minoxidil, but the main problem with that is alpha reductase and DHT. T blockers tend to help with that, and I noticed some regrowth after starting on Pueraria Marifica. I would caution to see if this might interact with any meds you are taking before trying it–but I have personally and it works for me. Otherwise, experiment and see what looks the best for YOU and is age appropriate. And most of all—HAVE FUN!
I’m a fan of shoulder length hair 🙂
I am looking for a new, shoulder-length wig and need volume to softly frame my wide face and jawline. The problem I have is wigs usually come in short, medium and long lengths and the medium isn’t quite long and full enough and the longer styles are waaay too long. Ultimately seeking a side part, wavy, shoulder length wig but struggle to find the perfect one.
Anna
First I want to say your hair and make-up look fabulous and second I have the same issue with wig lengths. I opted to go with a longer style and either live with the length or have a stylist trim it to the length I want.

PICS for your evaluation….
Tougher at 73, to look fabulous…!
You look great as you are Anna. Very feminine.
I am having real problems trying to pick out a nice wig. I want lots of hair, at least to my shoulders. So length and color are a challenge. What should I do?
am like Sabrina and prefer the shorter Hair, because I like to show off my ear rings. But it’s also more practical to go out with short hair, if you wear a coat now in winter. But I have a large collection of wigs in all lenths and colors.
I like to see your comments with fotos. Too bad that MJ has her Foto lying instead of upright.
Dear Lucille, do you have a foto galery on your homepage?
Dearest greetings to all of you from
