The right pair of shoes can instantly transform the way you look, feel, and walk. That’s why a girl can never own too many pairs!
Of course, not all shoes are created equal and some styles are much more flattering and feminizing than others.
That’s why in this blog post, I’ve compiled the top 7 shoe styles for crossdressers and transgender women.
From classy high heels to comfortable flats, here are the best MTF shoes to enhance your feminine image.
1. Classic Black Pumps
What could be more chic than a pair of classic black pumps? They add a polished look to any outfit, making them a feminine wardrobe staple.
For the most mileage, choose a closed-toe, full back style with a heel that’s high enough to help loosen up your hips as you walk.
2. Ballet Flats
You don’t have to wear high heels to look feminine!
Ballet flats are a fantastic option, especially if you’re on the taller side or want to look pretty and stylish without sacrificing comfort.
3. D’Orsay Pumps
The d’Orsay is a beautiful and elegant pump style in which the sides are cut away to reveal the arch of the foot.
D’Orsay pumps are perfect for showing off shapely legs – an asset for most crossdressers and transgender women.
4. T-Straps
T-straps add a sexy touch to pumps, high heel sandals, and flats. T-strap shoes have two distinct benefits:
- The ankle strap offers extra support for your ankles, making them easier to walk in than other heels.
- The vertical line created by the center strap draws the eye upwards, making your legs look longer.
5. Nude Heels
If you’re on a budget, nude heels will give you the most mileage since they can be worn with literally any color of outfit.
Choose a nude tone that blends in with your skin to make your legs look miles long – an added bonus!
6. Wedges
Still trying to master walking in heels? Then consider a wedge heel. Since the sole covers more ground, they’re much easier to walk in.
One caveat: Wedges have a chunky look, so they are best for those with thinner legs. Stay away from them if you have large or muscular legs.
7. Tall Boots
Boots are sexy and sassy, so they’re a wardrobe must.
Choose knee high boots for the most elegant look. Tall boots are more flattering and slimming than ankle boots or boots that hit the middle of the calf.
Let’s talk shoes!
Of course, these 7 shoe styles are only the beginning! While all of these options are fantastic, the best shoes are the ones that make YOU look and feel your best.
I could talk about shoes for days, so let’s keep the conversation going!
Take my poll and then and share a photo of yourself wearing your favorite shoes in the comments below!

I wear a 14-15 in shoes ,But the way shoes are made I have to get a 16 size shoe depends on how they are made. So I’m thinking I need a 17 size, I guess I am in some trouble? Any Help ?
My only critique is that of oversizing. using the scale of 2 sizes bigger when going from male to female shoes is pretty imprecise. Aside from the fact that shoes vary a lot with the makers, I find that one size is plenty for me to go up, from a 10 male, to an 11 female. I wonder if the size differences are lesser from smaller feet, and up to the 2 sizes usually suggested for larger feet? I figure I’m somewhere in the middle as far as male foot size.
Darn it I could kick myself again for purging but whats a girl to do never again I had 3 pairs of boots 4 pairs of shoes and now I might have one if I’m lucky I think I missed one pair of heels I’ll let you know soon if not I’ll get more no pics yet though
I have 6pairs now and going mainly wedges in boot and shoe form ,I prefer these as they have more ground coverage due to the major reconstruction of my ankle years ago,i cant afford to roll it,wish I could wear a normal heel thou
I am trying to find platform stiletto shoes which will fit a men’s 7 1/2 EEE foot. Can anyone provide a suggestion on who carries or can make such a shoe? I am looking for heels heights from 5 to 8 inches.
I own two pairs of knee high boots.
Lucille and Girls,
I have been a Cross Dresser many years and I have foundness for mostly for boots to go with my skirts and dresses especially during fall winter and spring. I have several pairs of heels but not higher than 3″ heel as Iam a tall girl and slightly large. I find most of my shoes and boots from several location and by mail order. But my biggest problem is with getting wide width shoes and boots not the calf area I find that the caf part of the boot area are much to large and have to alter them to look better on me. And the ankle part of my foot also swells so getting the zipper part of the boot sometimes is a problem. Any suggestions? Thanks and good luck to all you girls.
