You are never too young or too old to be your best female self. But what does that mean when it comes to dressing age appropriately as a transgender woman or crossdresser?
We’ve all seen older women dressed like teenagers… and the attention they attract usually isn’t positive.
Does that mean you have to dress like an old frump after a certain age? Absolutely not!
I believe most of the “dress for your age” rules are silly and outdated… That said, there ARE some guidelines worth keeping in mind.

Your 20s or Younger

- Your 20s are a time to play with trends and be adventurous. You’re still discovering your style, so take risks and have fun!
- You’re not a kid anymore, so avoid adolescent details like glitter, rhinestones, or cartoony prints.
- You can get away with short skirts and body-baring styles, but be careful not to cross the line from sexy to slutty. Good taste is a fashion DO at any age.

- Invest in good quality shoes, handbags, and jewelry so you can enjoy them through this decade and beyond.
- No matter how far past 60 you are, you NEVER have to dress in frumpy old lady clothes!

I’m in my late 50s now but still like to dress and act sexy. You’re right — at this time in my life it’s more about my face and expression there — although I thankfully have close to the same body I did when I was 30 (yay Jazzercise).
Those are all excellent role models you listed and looking sexy when you’re older is about being elegant and refined. Remember Dynasty? All those women were mid 50s plus.
I’ve got to say that I still dress for fun and to express the “kid” in me. One of my favorite outfits is a Disney denim shortall outfit and a Minnie mouse denim hat. Very fun to mall-walk in that!

Hello ladies. I’m a 50 something transexual. I probably don’t dress age appropriatly, love wearing miniskirts, tight tops, but you should see the looks I get from guys, and some girls.
i disagree with all of this, the only way to dress is what you feel comfortable in, no outfit as a set age a 70 year old should be able to dress as a 30 year old and a 30 year old should dress as a 70 year old, hell a 50 year old can dress as a 12 year old, it doesnt matter as long as the wearer is happy
Hi Lucille honey I’m not sure about any of this I know my age and I might not be dressing age appropriate I think about it at times at 56 the other 29 were all 29 or at least we want to be 29 forever in my opinion there are plenty of GGs genetic girls out there who don’t dress age appropriate at all of course that doesn’t mean they should they can get by with it better maybe the whole point is drawing attention true we girls can’t get by with it as easily although I don’t feel or look my age maybe I’m wrong about that I’m not sure my hairline and color are concerning me I truly need hair coloring right now and then my hairline maybe too far back already I think the fenugreek is helping to make my hair thicker and prettier or smoother and it may be helping my hairline too big if there but I think there is some regrowth occurring in the hairline maybe I certainly have growth in other areas not hair thank goodness anyway Love you girlfriend and all the rest remember lol and lol Love MJ.
