It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I chose Katelyn, because my 3 step sisters all have a “Y” or “I” sound to their name and I figured since my nick name growing up was “Davey” my family could remember to call me “Katie”. Shauna would have been my name had I been born the girl the Doctors thought I was going to be. As for Izadora,….Well Katelyn Izadora(ble) {Giggles}
Well, I chose Kirra because when you say Eric backwards , its Kirra! Eric is my name.
I chose the name Erika with a k because it’s feminine and sexy sounding.
I did choose my feminine name using a female gender version of my second male name (Alfonso) and choosen randomly my middle name and last. My feminine name is Alfonsina Dmitria Simonovitch (and I’m Venezuelan)…
When selecting my Email name,
The usual spelling of my name was taken. So I added a “Y” to the middle of My Name and I used that Name. Sounds more Feminine that way.
I chose my name to be useable with any thing that my letters on it would not have to be changed.
I started by calling myself Phillipa the female version of my male name but settled on Chloe as i like the name.
I simply chose a forename with the same initial as my male name and a surname which is almost the same as my middle given name. NB, I avoid ‘christian name’ because I’m not a christian.
Love to you all (whatever your beliefs),
Fiona Edwards.
