It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I chose my name at age 18 because coco chanel designed exactly the tweet jackets and jewelry I like. She also was the rebellish woman we as transwomen need to be
My ex-wife would go into verbally abusive drunken tirades where she would call me Rachel Dozeal so years later when I had to pick a name it came easy
Kathleen I choose from a name my mother would have called me as I was born a girl: Kathy .
But I didn’t like that , so I changed it a bit.
My situation is similar to yours, in that my parents were expecting an other girl. They were so disappointed with me. I prefer to live as a female these days . Lovely picture of you. Rosemerry.
I found for many years ago a coffer,on an attic. It was nearly destroyed. But when i cleaned it up.A name was written in cobber callede Natalie and last name jensen.which is my last name.It belonged to a jew who were sent to concentration camp and newer came back.i restored it an used it for my women clothes. When by best female freind past away.I took her name and combined it to hounor dem.So to this day my name is Nadina Natalie Jensen. And i feel good about my name.
I accepted the name Jane, when I was no more than 12 years old. I never wanted to change it. It first it was my secret name. As I began to transform and go out in the world. The name became me.
Mom has always called me this
It was my favorite teachers name and liked
My mother was named Mari/lyn and my last name ended in ssa.
When contemplating my feminine name I chose Marissa.
My given name is Scott
So I used the Lynscot as my last name.
Pretty simple. My birth name was Christopher Thomas, I went by Chris. Chris T. to Kristy was right there. Hearinf in November to make it legal!
