It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I’m Robert, with Lane being both my sister’s middle name. Robyn Lane just came naturally. What should have been my name from the start!
I’m not very close to fully developing my female alter ego (finances, and possible $$ to address a chipped tooth aren’t helping matters), but I plan to settle on Sheri Hebert. Sheri because there was a classmate with whom I was very close in high school. She spells her name different, so that kind of create an element of doubt, not to mention mystery. I chose Hebert as the last name because a telemarketer confused my real last name with Hebert.
i have choosen two names one manemami a beautiful lady came in contact in my pubitry years and madhumati an alternative to that.
I like to go by Rebecca, not Becky.. I chose my middle name by deciding something that would start with the same letter of my middle name. Oh, btw. the same way I chose my first name. So, my initials are still RDU. Just with a girls name added. I have a friend who likes to call me Rylee or Riley. I am really not sold on it. I like Rebecca. I think I will stick with it. Just don’t call me Becky..
Rachel was my first girlfriend. She was so feminine and pretty, everything I try to be
I select Amanda from an 80’s Waylon Jennings song that I really enjoyed.
When I hear or see my name it leaves me a very peaceful feeling that I remember having when listening to that song.
Awesome picture and name
It was so simple! I didn’t start crossdressing until after I lost my wife to cancer in 2011! I was sorting out her clothes for donations, friends wives, rags, and I heid one of her dresses up in front of me so I could get a good look at it because I was tired of laying everything out on the bed then standing over it. and I thought to myself, I’d look pretty good in this! Then I thought about the other clothes I had already sorted and decided to start over. The first time thru, I chose what I wanted to keep, then I started trying everything on, by the end of the week I was done sorting and had a huge wardrobe of woman’s clothes. I just wish I didn’t have size 12 feet, I might have fit in some of her shoes. I bought a cheap wig and I was on my way. Since I already had her clothes, make up and jewelry, I just took her name too.
Unique story. Do you still feel a part of her when you are wearing her clothes?
