It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille

As my real name is Rizal, my lover who is trangender call me Liza. Soleno is her surname (she is mix-filipino/malay), and she is the one who put it like I’m her mutual wife. While I’m still doing crossdressing, she already a pre-ops lady. We couldn’t not getting married due to our country’s rule, but it doesn’t matter for us.
I came to choose Marian after trying a couple other names for awhile. I looked through a baby name book, and liked it the most. Also my maternal grandmother’s name was Mary, so thought that was good sign, even though she died before I was born.
Thanks for great question again Lucille!
Marian
When I first started posting on the net I needed a unique user name. I chose Demanton (Not Named in reverse) and that eventually became Demmy.
It is only that Christopher and Crystalynn are the same except the gender they denote. My grandmother gave me the name Christopher, She came accept my femininity but sadly she could’nt fathom the subject of transsexuality. She loved me dearly regardless and when I learned all names have there gender opposit I was delighted to find crystal was mine. So out of love and respect for grandma, I am Crystalynn

I come from a family of three sons. I would always hear my mother say how she wished she had at least one girl. If she only knew back then, lol. She told me once that my name would have been Donna. I never really connected to that name even though I knew from an early age that I identified as a girl. Of course I would gravitate towards celebrities that had pretty names but I wanted a name that started with a “D”. I fell in love with “Diana” To me, it’s sweet, feminine and feels natural for me to hear it and turn my head and say Hi.
