It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
My femme name is my nickname as a male. My wife started calling me “Abby” after watching the movie, “Young Frankenstein”. The name appears in the scene where Igor selects the monster’s brain. At the gift shop at the Broadway performance tour, my daughter bought me the t-shirt with “Young Frankenstein” on the back and my name, “Abby Normal” across the chest.
my name is angelica i like very much
It was my wife´s Karin idea. She said that as I wanted to be a sissy, Sussy would be a good name me. I liked her idea because and she eventually became my husband.
Take an English class………………then have someone proofread your stuff.
WHAT???????
YOU SHOULD TAKE AT LEAST 10 CLASSES IN MANNERS
I chose Sarah because that was my great grandmother’s name and it feels right.
Choosing my name was a process. I tried some for a while that I just didn’t identify with, and then one day I found out that when my parents were deciding on names they were going to name me Jaime if I was a girl. Well that obviously didn’t happen but when I found that out it struck a chord in me like nothing before. Upon looking up the meaning of the name I realized it identified everything that is me, so it was not even a question that I had found my true name. So I added a change to the spelling to make it my own and voila there you have it. Could not be happier with this name 🙂
I felt admiration by the sophistication and feminity of Elsa Schneider; the partner of Indiana Jones in the third movie of the series (role played by Alison Doodi)
i decided to amalbamate parts of my male names – Ro(bert) (Alex)ander, feminising the (Alex)ander to (Alex)andra, to make Roxandra. Having done that and shortened it to Roxie, i chose Fox as a new surname because i have red hair and definitely feel like a sexy vixen.
Several factors came into consideration for my name choices. I kind of liked the name Crystal from Crystal Gayle the country singer from the 70’s. I was known as Kelli for a long time – name a lady friend of mine and I came up with and I couldn’t drop the Lynne from my name. Lynne was an extremely dear friend of mine who passed away and I’ll never forget her. Not sure to change my middle name to Kellilynne or keep the two separate. I’ll have to make a choice when I change my name for keeps officially.
