It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
My name, Rae Davids, is actually parts of my birthname. It’s different enough but still familiar to me.
When I was young my mother always said if she had had a girl she would have named her Kathleen. So guess I am just the girl she would have had.
Hello Lucille, I chosed my name Willow because I wanted it to be close as my real name William. many of my gay friends love this name and so do I. I believe that every crossdresser and transgender have all the rights like everyone else to do what they need to do. I love who I am and I am very proud I am. thank you Lucille for all your advice and blogs they have helped me alot.
Sincerely,
Willow
For me it was an easy decision. My real “nick name” as a male was Ronny and was the name I went by all of my life. When I decided to accept my identity as a female, I simply feminized my male version to the female version…Roni
I chose my name from a woman friend. She is the type of woman I would want to be like..
Well I filled out the information on how I got the name and it was on the site later this morning after I had submitted it. Now it seems to have disappeard completely ???????
What is “awaiting moderation” ?
in my case it just came to me.. Veronica Amanda Michelle St. Clair… mouth full hmm
Being a life-long music lover, I chose Whitney for my admiration for the music of Whitney Houston. I had the opportunity to see her twice and she brought chills up my spine. I didn’t choose it based on her sordid life-style. When I legalize my name, I might choose Taylor for Swift or just go with Lyn. Blessings, Whitney
