It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I love most girly feminine names so it was a hard choice.I setteled on being short and to the point. 3 names 3 letters each retaining my male initials. I hsd little to change after my gender.
I tool my legal birth names and rearranged the letters to Spell Sharme’ Brea DeWotts out of Robert Wade Matthews, and I know that I added an extra letter to complete the name change. To me, Sharme’ Brea DeWotts sounds so sophisticated.

Cynthia is a paternal grand mother name who I never met, Alison my mom used to tell me that before I was born she thought I would be a girl and picked the name Alison, now it gets put to good use.
My name is ken. For the longest time, phones with spell correction would change my name to Jen. I’m called that most of the time or even Kennifer.
Pretty much the same as Nikki. I was shopping and the sales lady asked me what my name was . I opened my mouth and out came Julie. I figured it must be my name and it has served me well for a long time now. Lots of people have know me as Julie.
i was born robert after my dad so i was always called bobby when i dress up im bobbie
I was shopping for women’s clothes one time (many years ago) the sales lady was so nice to me. As I was checking out she asked “what’s your name sweetie?”, without hesitation I said “Nikki”……. I don’t know where it came from, I had never thought about my female name. It was so natural that I kept it and am known only as Nikki to many people 🙂
