It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
When I was a child, I asked my mom what she would have named me if I had been born a girl, and she said “Jennifer”…and the rest, as they say, is history, darling!
J.L….
What a lovely picture…you look very beautiful.
Great name for you, as well. Would like to see more pics here from you.
Eval these pics, if you wish…
At 73 yo, I have been out in public since the 1960’s. I am a retired surgeon, Army, VA, & private practice. Retiring made dressing and joining groups much easier…

Just took my name and figured my parents would have named me the female equiv. Anyway I just didn’;t like Lauri so I changed it to Lori
As a teenager while I was trying to sort out my gender identity (I had already been cross-dressing for some years), I dated a very pretty girl. Emily was slim, pretty and very very feminine in her mannerisms and dress style, I was very attracted to her. After we departed ways I was dressing very day and very much in her style – so I just “adopted” her name.
I decided on my name from an ex girlfriend, as we dated i realized who i was becoming. She was totally a girly girl and so feminine and i wanted to be her!
back in 2009, i was inbetween Stacy, Cynthia, or Isis (the goddess of love) i look nothing like a Stacy or an Isis, Cynthia seemed proper for a while. it evolved into Cyn, since often i felt weird being called Cynthia. (which i will go by this name) :3
but what decided my name Eri, is not only is it from each country from my heritage and Japan. it is also one letter away from Eris. 😉 as some may think i am. :O not even sure my self anymore.
Capeditiea
