It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I knew I was a girl inside when I was still in primary school. Fifth grade, I think. We were studying the planets and how the Earth goes around the sun, making the dawn and dusk, night and day.
That is when I committed to making my dream of becoming Dawn, a new day and life. It has been rocky, but it is happening. I do freelance erotica on some of the sites, so Dawn Diamond was the perfect ‘nom de plume’ for me!
I came up with mine na social Internet chat room
I picked the name Jennifer thinking it sounded soft and gentle; qualities I’ve always had. I also just love how it sounds. I added the middle name Nicole because I think it has a subtle sensuality to it. It also seems to go so nicely with the first name Jennifer.
Although everything related to transformation is completed we don’t feel it until feminine name is selected. If some body call by the feminine name then we get the real feeling as female.

When I was little there was this very pretty girl in my school whose name was Monika and I was very envious of her lively ways and how pretty she was. When I started transitioning at the age of thirty I was reading astrological charts for people under the name of Madame Magna. Someone mistook it later for Magda, the German abbreviation of Magdalena, so when I decided to officially take on a feminine name I did not even think about it and wrote Monika Magdalena in the application. I hope I have managed to grow into a woman who resembles her, but I have no idea what became of her. What would have happened, had I been able to be her girlfriend I wonder sometimes.
I don’t know exactly how I picked my name or why. It was the first name that popped into my head and it just felt right.
My name’s story is very simple.
Salma came from one of my aunts that always turned me on when I was a teen, but reinforced for my admiration for the Salma Hayek the actress.
Erika came from admiration to other Mexican actress called Erika Buenfil who is not as famous as Salma Hayek but still pretty and hot for me.
