It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I chose Brandi because, my mother thought I was going to be a girl and that is the name she had chosen for me.
Well, here is how I chose my fem name.
A number of years ago I happened to meet a lovely young woman named Michaela.
I asked her about her name because it is basically just Michael with an “a” on the end of it.
She told me that her parents were expecting a boy and her father wanted to name his son Michael. But she came along instead of “he” and so her father named her Michaela.
My given name happens to be Michael. So, I kind of did the same thing. When my feminine alter ego was born I named her Mikhaela.
As for a picture of my face. Not going to happen. NOBODY wants to see my outside face – not even me.
If I could show a picture of my inside face – the woman within – I would post that. But I cannot. So ………

The reason I chose my new name as Serinity is from the popular anime Yu-Gi-Oh one of the main characters sister was name Serinity n I loved that name so much, thought it was unique and beautiful the name stuck to me ever sense. I’m a huge anime nerdy fanngirl n love it. 🙂
I chose Brandi because, My mother thought I was going to be a girl and Brandi is the name she had picked out for me.
I ws told that when choosing one should be at ease with the first name and take the maiden name of you mother and last name from your father. Well, I chose the first as Jan, which in Canada with 2 dots above the A would give it an ahhh sound like john so I dropped the 2 dots above the A and have the first name as Jan. Well I took 1/2 of my mothers and half of my fathers and came up with the last name Harlowe. I lot have asked me if I was related to Jean Harlowe, the 50’s movie star. Oooooh, I wish I had her looks, so I decide her name and dropping the “e” from Jean and came up with Jan Harlowe. Hope you like my pics
My mom and dad wanted to call me Noemi before I was born. But they were surprised I was born not as a girl! Actually, I probably was, and now I surely am a girl, lol!
Originally I liked the name Robyn. I used it for awhile, until my wife told me she really didn’t like it. She wanted to name me instead. We discussed options, and finally we arrived at ‘Stephanie’ as a variation of my male name, Steven.
I have been on a multi-year journey of cross dressing, starting with pantyhose and lingerie, and finally dresses and maid outfits.
Now (on occasion) I’ll be allowed to wear a Sissy Maid outfit and clean house for her. She plays along, but doesn’t really get into the idea, but she loves me and knows I like it, so it is a treat.
This year we are trying an FLR and she is becoming more used to taking charge, and becoming comfortable with that lifestyle. I found a wonderful book on the topic, ‘Practical FLR’ by JM Scott available as kindle content only. We are reading it together, and it is quite helpful.
I’m hoping this will also allow her to see the benefits of allowing me to become more feminized as her sub. We will see, but in any event, it is an exciting journey!
Maid Stephanie
I choose the name Adrienne because of one of my friends in elementary school. She was a strong willed, well grounded young person with a good heart. I always wanted to be like her
