It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
A simple change of a k to an e and poof I’m a girl.
When I first started my mother stated that she would always call me Ray (old name), so I choose a name close to that – Rachel… Last name was a little more difficult, asked my mother for assistance – she stated do not use your fathers’ name nor your step-fathers name, nor my madden name.. Going to school at the time a friend stated to use her last name (Sommers) tried it out and found too many M’s.. instructor stated to use one M as in Elkie Somers.. Chose that as last name.. middle name was from a friend in high school (Elaine).. Decided to use Elain vice Elaine due to each name being 6 letters.. Final decision on the legal paper work is .. Rachel Elain Somers… NO REGRETS..
When I was in my teens, I fell in love, with a famous actress, named Veronica Lake. She was the most beautiful woman, I’d ever seen, and I wanted to be her. In fact, after the first movie of her that I saw her in, is when I knew I wanted to be a woman. We lived in a small town, but every movie that was shown there of her, I was right up in the front row.
AS far as a picture of me, I’m 78 years old, and have a fright every time, I see a picture of me.
My old name was John, so I wanted to keep the beguining sound JO, so I became JOanna

When I began posting on CD forums many years ago I used the name Demanton or Not Named spelt backwards. That soon became Demmy and its stuck.
Demmy, from what I can see in your picture, you sure have a beautiful figure and cleavage.
I choose Rachel as it begins with the same letter as my given name, which also happens to be two syllables. I like the name Raquel as it sounds like the kitten, Raquel Welch, however you don’t find many women with that name today. So I took Rachel as that was Jennifer Aniston’s fictional name, Rachel Green, on friends. I’ve always just wanted to portray sexiness and be seen as a sexy woman to be played with.
Actually, my name can be used by both male and female in my country though Pronounciation is different when it comes to female name… So I continue with my given name
