It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
The first name that I chose to go with was Nickki and I really did not put a lot of thought into why. I always liked the name and I found it sexy. As I got deeper into my journey has a transgender women I found that there was a lot more to me and who I wanted to become, sexy is more than just a name, its an attitude, a total package if you will. I outgrow the name frankly. I went to a Christmas concert one year and it featured LeAnn Rimes, I have always liked her music but never really paid attention to the person. As I watched her on stage, her presence and poise, the way she walked and carried herself I knew that she is what I wanted to emulate. I took her name that very night and as I have grown as a woman I have the piece of mind knowing that I made the right choice, she is the complete and total package. As I will be someday, thank you LeAnn for being my shinning light.
Nevemind. I just hit “Previous” and poof! there they are

Such a pleasant, harmless topic! I actually insisted with myself my femme name should begin with the same letter of the alphabet that starts the name given to me at birth – C. I also fancied a certain Caroline at work for the way she dressed. A particular pair of summer mules she wore never got out of my mind. I now have several pairs of the same style :).
my dysphoria was the catalyst for all my excessive behavior including My over the top Christianity so it was my faith in grace that solved my dilemma ,plus I wanted a name which would have the same first initial’s as my birth name … the meaning I the same as my wife’s name so that helped with a happy marriage
I just put an ‘E’ on the end of my middle name.
