A beautiful pair of shoes or high heels can instantly make you feel more feminine and attractive.
But do you struggle to find stylish women’s shoes in your size?
In this article, I share my top places to shop for shoes for trans women and crossdressers – particularly if your feet are US women’s size 13 or larger!
How to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes
But first, let’s talk about how to convert between men’s and women’s shoe sizes. This actually varies a lot from country to country.
In the US and Australia, there’s approximately a 2 size difference between men’s and women’s shoes.
To find your women’s shoe size, simply add 2 sizes to your usual men’s shoe size. For example, a men’s US size 11 would be women’s US size 13.
If you are in the UK, Europe, or Asia, things are much easier since there’s no difference between men’s and women’s shoe sizes.
However, regardless of the size, keep in mind that men’s and women’s shoes are shaped slightly differently. Men’s shoes are usually wider at the heels.
For that reason, I always recommend trying on shoes before you buy them, rather than relying on the numerical size alone.
Now that you know your shoe size, let’s go shopping!
Long Tall Sally
The ultimate shopping destination for tall women, Long Tall Sally offers large size women’s shoes up to a US size 15. This UK based e-commerce site offers service and shipping within the US, UK, EU, and Australia.
Pleaser Shoes
While Pleaser Shoes prides itself on being the leader in sexy footwear, they offer a range of styles – from sexy to classic and pinup to goth. Most importantly, they offer women’s shoes up to a size 16.
Update: Our lovely reader Jolene has shared that with Pleasers, depending on the style of shoe, a trans woman or crossdresser may need to add THREE sizes to their male shoe size.
FSJ Shoes
FSJ Shoes is a China-based shoe manufacturer that offers a huge array of styles up to a size 15 US. Best of all, they also offer custom made shoes at affordable prices so you can make any shoe dream come true!

Amazon
Amazon has a surprising large selection of women’s shoes up to size 16, including pumps, flats, sandals, boots, and more. As an added bonus, many items are eligible for Prime delivery and free returns.
Payless

Ebay
Let’s not forget about good old eBay! Ebay has a huge selection of transgender and crossdressing shoes at some incredible bargains. The best part is that you can search for women’s shoes up to a size 19!

I am an 11.5 which is very hard to find. Fortunately I can squeeze into an 11 open toe comfortably and make do with a 12 for boots & pumps. I am not passable so tend to buy online except at Xmas. I have found them at Sears, Payless, Zullily.com and Sinister Soles. However my favorite bedtime slippers I found at an adult toy store (LoveDreamer.com).
Just a short question if someone can help me. I wear a size 7.5 mens shoes, what female size shoes would be fitting for me . I especially love boot and heels, but summer is coming, and I need flat and sandles too
I am lucky, I can wear a 9 1/2 or 10 depending on shoe style. Shoe shopping is fun.
Actually, if you check the Sister House Boutique (http://www.sisterhouse.net/boutique/2013/12/10/our-stores-3/#post-5571) all of our shoe stores carry up to a 13 as do many of the Dept stores. Payless is always a good buy and 50% of their shoes are only online, but they go fast. I’ve always liked Avenue and of course Suddenly Fem carries up to a 16 but the styles are limited.

The rule of thumb is two sizes larger than your man size shoe
I usually shop at Payless for my shoes. In fact I just bought a pair of ankle boots and them put on hold. I went to pick them up and the girl asked me if I wanted to try them on now mind you I am not a TG I am a straight male who enjoys wearing feminine clothing and shoes. I thought it was great that she asked if I wanted to try them on. I ended up having to get a wide width but I wear them often.
I also enjoy dressing up and wearing women’s shoes . I had a stroke 2 years ago. I realized that I can actually walk better in 3 inch pumps then I can in flats or kitten heels. I now have several pairs of 3 and 4 inch pumps , wedges and sandals . I have gotten most my women’s shoes at payless and zappos.
I also have been buying women’s shoes for a while and I’ll probably buy more since I’ve been dressing full-time and taking hormones for a few months now. Fortunately I do make a fairly convincing woman and I do fit most common sizes of women’s clothing and some shoes. However my problem is I have short yet fat feet (size 6 or 6.5 Wide sandals and size 7.5 medium closed-toe shoes or boots). So far I’ve been fairly lucky buying from Zappos.com and Amazon.com. I have also tried buying shoes from Ideel.com. However that did not go so well. They either were the wrong size or they hurt too much to be useful. /shrug Anyway I probably won’t be buying many more shoes anytime soon, sice the ones I do have are already spilling out of my closet. Certainly not more than 600 pairs, but if you can do it more power to you. 🙂
Well.. life seems to be fair sometimes ^^
Having been bullied in school for my tiny girly feet (narrow 7 at 1.80m height), now I can buy (allmost) every normal ladys shoes and get the looks for my endless legs 😀
Anyways.. I cant give shopping hints for the US.. I live in Germany 🙂

We all don’t walk around in pumps all day long. Like any other woman, we wear flats, tennis shoes, clogs, slippers, etc etc etc. Some of us are just ordinary gals that don’t feel the need to be hyper feminine.
Go to pay less shoes. They have a full range of women’s shoes, normal women’s shoes, as in not drag. All the way to size 13W. I have big feet for a guy even…size 13. I order women’s size 13 from payless and they fit great! Fall boots, clogs, flats, tennis shoes, and yes pumps too and they fit great.
