Are you someone who doesn’t fit traditional gender norms?
Whether you’re a crossdresser, transgender woman, or embrace a different gender identity, it’s clear that society still has a lot to learn about gender non-conforming people.
Do you agree?
If so, let’s shed some light!
What do you wish people understood about you?
Whether it’s the people closest to you or the world at large, what message would you like to share?
The more voices and perspectives out there, the more others will hopefully begin to understand.
I’d love to hear from you, so please share in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
I wish people would understand that I’m not a freak!
I believe there are MANY more people like us than people want to admit! We are NOT ‘freaks’. In fact, the CD/TV’s that I know are quite ‘down to earth’ people in day to day life…
I have spent a LIFETIME hiding Rhonda and what a mistake that was!!!
It lead to years of emotional pain and ultimately an chemical addiction which was more years lost. Now finally after exhausing all other avenues I have finally come to a place of surrender. That’s right I have come out in a big way as Rhonda!!!! Now I am living semi successfully as female I always felt I was. Just a few more adjustments. The most iratating being that my voice doesn’t quite match the presentation and my self image. But I am lucky in a way. I am a disabled veteran and with a substancial disability rating my transition is being supported somewhat by the VA. I am seeing a vocal therapist who specializes in trans community. All that is a blessing however. .
The VA has drawn a line in the sand from whcih they have not backed away from. No Surgery. sigh
I don’t understand that when most states are supporting transition for those under thirty. Which makes me feel like I am “a day late and a dollar short” sigh
Well I must continue looking at the positives and be grateful for those that I have.
I am a serious fan of yours. Please keep up the great work.
Rhonda
I hate being a man!
I wish that at least my family was open minded
Hi Lucille,
I agree with you, the media has helped with awareness this past year but still feel that society has a long way to go in regards to understanding and accepting people who crossdress and those who are transgender.
As a transgender MTF, really wish that I could live my life all the time as a woman, unfortunately until society opens both their minds and hearts to be more acceting that is not really possible.
I really appreciate everything you do for us and advice you give. I hope someday that things will change, really would be awesome if we could all just be ourselves.
I hope you have a really great Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love Ya,
Kristin
I wish that people would understand that I’m not trying to “be brave” or anything off the sort. I’m just trying to be my real self. Also, that even though there are things that I am having to give up,it doesn’t mean that I am choosing lifestyle over loved ones.
you did not help me to do this what you can do for me ??????
Wow so many comments here that if I said anything it would pretty much be a repeat. All I can say is just let me be the girl I am inside. I can’t help the way I feel and why I would rather be in a skirt. It’s hard to tell people that don’t struggle with these feelings and have them understand
