Are you someone who doesn’t fit traditional gender norms?
Whether you’re a crossdresser, transgender woman, or embrace a different gender identity, it’s clear that society still has a lot to learn about gender non-conforming people.
Do you agree?
If so, let’s shed some light!
What do you wish people understood about you?
Whether it’s the people closest to you or the world at large, what message would you like to share?
The more voices and perspectives out there, the more others will hopefully begin to understand.
I’d love to hear from you, so please share in the comments below!
Love,
Lucille
first off i would like folks to know that i was born this way, this glorious affliction is in my D.N.A.,and not a “choice”,yet not one i wish to ever go away, secondly,i wish people would understand that gender and sexuality are two seperate things, and just because a biological male is a crossdresser, does not mean he is gay/bi,…i happen to like only women romantically.i guess in addition it seems lately LGBTQ folks are being assumed to be of a particular political party,..and i would like people to realize that that is not always the case.
I don’t need to “give it a shot” to being a guy. for christ sake I did so for almost 20 years, If you actually want to help out and help me know for real weather I am taking on the right path I need you to actually give half a f***k and start treating me like a woman, I need you to throw your awkwardness and ask what you need for I want to help you so you can understand me, this is not for novelty nor for immitating a bloody cartoon nor for feminisim, I just want to get to be happy and this is something I HAVE to do.
i wish people would realize I am not trying to do anything except be who I am. I dont fault women who dress and do a mans job, so why do they judge me?? I wear bras, skirts, blouse and dresses, even cut my hair in a woman’s fashion not to try and impress anyone but because I love wearing womans clothes, they are so much more soft and fit better. I dress as a woman every day, and love it.
I wish they understood that, I’m not a freaky because, I decided to wear Nail Polish. I wear it because, I love wearing it. That I’m not trying to harm anyone. I just want to talk to people, and be helpful. I wear Nail Polish yes, but I’m my own person. I like painting my Nails as it relaxes me, and is fun to do. I carry things like normal people do. I’m not going to harm someone with my Nails, or something. I just want to be helpful friend. I’m a kind, and caring people if you met me in real life. I’m just like everybody else, minding my own business. I’m really friendly to you, and I’d love to have, a nice conversation with you.
Personally I wish the world understood that its important to be nice to us, but even more importantly, it is your duty as a human being to stand up and fight for us when our civil rights are being revoked, as they are now in America.
The stakes are literally life and death. Don’t tell my 38 year old trans self I’m pretty, go out and vote against some terrible law that will result in a 13 year old trans girl hurting herself
I wholeheartedly concur. If you fall within the LGBTQ2S+/Queer spectrum & you vote for conservative parties, proposals, & candidates, regardless of what country you’re in, then you’re voting to hurt yourself & possibly those you love. Why? Because generally speaking it’s the conservative parties, proposals & candidates that are hell-bent on making sure you no longer exist. They want to erase you from society. Think about it. And if you are female, Including transgender females, & vote for conservative parties, proposals, & candidates then again you’re voting to hurt yourself.
What people need to understand is that cross dressing is not an act linked to your sexuality orientation. There are many different reasons why people cross dress, and that the act of cross dressing has to be respected. People, should be able to come out in the streets as they wish. I would like to be able to come out as a woman from time to time, already in my own house. Without having the conscience that I will be judged for how I’m dressed.
Well, what people need to understand is that at least in my case, it is not about the body but the mind.
One of the top questions I get asked is “do you feel like a woman”, and my answer is that I do not actually feel anything, it is an odd question to me. I only know that I am a woman and everyday I do what I believe I should be doing in womanhood.
Best,
Wanita
I would want people to know that some people are really suffering health issues from gender dysphoria. Not just mentally but physically. Stress, anxiety, fear, depression, panic attacks and social anxiety. From years of living with these conditions have had adverse consequences on my physical health. Some of these conditions are permanent. Hormones and transitioning can be life saving. It’s not just a fad, not an agenda, not about sexual perversion.
Well said!
