Your personal style tells the world who you are as a crossdresser or transgender woman. Are you presenting yourself as the woman you want to be?
Your style is made up of a few key elements:
- Clothes
- Accessories
- Hair
- Makeup
Understanding and embracing your style “type” can help you avoid fashion blunders, like buying clothes that don’t match your personal vibe.
In this blog post, we’ll explore some common feminine style types that can inspire your own fashion look.
Classic
The Classic looks are all about timeless elegance. You gravitate toward clean lines and basic pieces without a lot of fluff or frills.
You like to keep things simple and prefer a coordinated look with matching colors. You are a lady in the truest sense of the word.
Bombshell
The Bombshell look exudes pure sexiness and femininity. Picture figure-hugging silhouettes and loads of glamour.
You love being the center of attention and won’t step out without full make-up, sexy hair, and towering heels.
Fashionista
The Fashionista look is highly dramatic, edgy, and experimental. You enjoy bold silhouettes and the most cutting-edge looks.
Your goal is to stand out, showcasing your originality and bold personality. You aim to turn heads with your statement-making outfits.
Bohemian/Romantic
The Bohemian/Romantic look is romantic with an eclectic twist. Think vintage fashions, ethnic details, and layered looks.
You love ruffles, flounces, appliqués and fringes. Floaty dresses and boots are your go-to essentials. You like to be feminine and earthy at the same time.

I love to dress in the classic style when I’m out with family or in a business environment, but when I want to cut loose on a Saturday night out, I’d love to say “Bombshell”, but at age 66, I’m not sure that I fit into that category. I love to go clubbing, I love the clubbing dresses I wear and I love the compliments I get on my legs in 6″ heels, not to mention that once I go out onto the dance floor, I can’t sit down and rest as long as there are 40 year old guys in the room. My dancing gets a break when the DJ takes a break. Bragging? Not at all. It took 55 years for me to come to grips with who I am, and now that I am who I was always meant to be, I’m going to enjoy every minute of my new life. Thankfully, I don’t look my age, at least not yet, but one morning I’m going to wake up and time will have caught up to me, and I don’t want to have any regrets when that day comes! I love being a woman, even if I can’t declare myself as a “Bombshell”.
Cara
I love how you said “now that I am who I was always meant to be, I’m going to enjoy every minute of my new life”. I too am suddenly retired and have waited for this time to begin living 24/7 as a woman and fully enjoy my womanhood for the rest of my life. I have waited for this day for over 50 years…I am 65. No regrets whatsoever.
Dana
You look very feminine and congratulations on mastering 6″ heels.
I also prefer the classic look when dressed en femme. I truly love to wear skirts and dresses, however it seems most women
wear jeans, shorts or other types of pants more often on a daily basis than they do dresses. My desire is to blend rather than stand out from the crowd, but unfortunately to do that it means wearing pants, especially in California. Is it the same everywhere? I would genuinely be interested to know.
I see dresses more the norm in New York. In Honolulu definitely shorts or loose tops and tights. Casual culture means casual dressing. Go with what makes you feel good inside. If you feel you’re better presented in a dress, wear a dress. The proper dress for the proper occasion. BTW, great makeup and hair. -Lulu
I just ordered Berkshire hose stockings. Quite amazing has garters and garter belt as one piece. Looks great with a dress. -Lulu
Lulu, Thank You, for your response about clothing choices vs. time, place and Weather.
Your suggestions are spot on and I generally follow that line of thinking. However, I do so enjoy wearing panty hose, heels and a pretty dress or skirt more often than I see other GG’s
wear them. Such is a cd’s life huh? Decisions…
You could blend in very well anywhere. You are very convincing.
Daphne, Thank You, you’re a sweetheart for
saying I could blend anywhere. If that were only true. Alas, I think the two biggest obstacles, at least in my case are my female voice (or lack thereof) and my confidence level when in public.
Believe me, CONFIDENCE, is everything regardless of your physical appearance & attire.
I use no makeup. I have been taking meds to make the man boobs into Breasts. My Doctor gives me Estrogen pills that l take 6 a day and l take 2 pills a day of Novo-Spiroton. I dress like a Tom-Boy, tee shirts or Sweats and always Jean pants. When l started taking the meds it only took 17 months and l started out as a 38a and today l am 38c. l am happy just being me this way and this picture is my Favorite one.
Kimmy, Lovely! All any of us can do, is feel comfortable in our own skin. Congratulations, I am happy for you, if your newly developed breasts have allowed you to accept the woman within.
Best Wishes, Melinda
You look very feminine and wonderful.
Daphne,
You sound like a sweet and caring gurl. Your positive comments are appreciated by all who read them. Love, Melinda
I like to be between fashionable and sexy but either but I try
I really try dressing my age. I just love showing as much leg as I can, so that is why I like short dresses or short sexy shorts. I wear 4 and even 5 inch heels. Rarely ware gym type shoes with shorts.
On occasions I really prefer dressing as slutty as possible. Showing as much clevage as I can. Just wish these tits were larger so I could show more of them.
I appreciate it being allowed to share.
Phyl
My preference would be CLASSIC Style, like the dress in my photo, but I own very few dresses as I don’t seem to get out to places in which the gg’s wear dresses (come on, ladies, dress it up a little more often!) and I like go be in blend or stealth mode. When I do get to go out, it’s for shopping or maybe out to dinner at mainstream stores and restaurants. To blend in, the style is what I’d call ‘SOCCER MOM-ISH’, pretty top, jeans (sometimes dress slacks), or a long skirt. I very seldom draw a second look from most people until we get into conversation.
QUESTION (to all my sisters here at Lucille’s place): Where can a girl go publicly (I’m usually alone) wearing a nice dress and not stand out too much? I’d love to hear your suggestions?
Great dress an shoes, your my kinda gurl. Your nails are very pretty and I love your hairstyle. You appear the complete package. Nicely done, very female indeed.
Thankyou!
Great combination dress, nails, shoes, hair. Very lovely. -Lulu
Thank you, Lulu.
You are very attractive and passable.
Thank you, very much, Daphne!
I definitely go for the classic look, much like the Jennifer Aniston pic. Although I just saw the cover for Are We Not Men? We Are Diva by Me First and the Gimme Gimmes and the diva look looks like a lot of fun!
I like tbe clubbing dresses. Their not quite age appropriate but a lot of fun. I like stylish and sophistication but there has to be a little edge to the way I dress.
Why Lulu, you are such a babe. I love your complete ensemble. Red, looks good on you, very hot and those legs! Oh la la
tres bien, Melinda
Aloha Melinda,
Thank you for your kind complement. I love buying and wearing dresses and red can’t help but call attention to myself. Ah, so much for blending in. Halloween was nuts in Waikiki. Lots of great costumes ended up clubbing and dancing in a newblack Patra dress (Macy’s).
They work for you and add to your “possibility” a lot.
Why thank you Daphne! I’m really pleased when the look comes together. Love going out with my girlfriend like this. Funny, she becomes a bit of a gentleman, opening doors for me. Wishing love and aloha your way.
Correct that I meant “Passibility”.
