Expressing your feminine side is about much more than just clothes and makeup. After all, women are a little more complex than that!
That’s why I wanted to go beyond the obvious and explore some unexpected strategies to help you enhance your feminine expression.
In this blog post for crossdressers and transgender women, I share 3 unexpected ways to be more feminine. Read on to learn more!
1. Buy a New Perfume
The right perfume can make you feel irresistibly feminine. While it’s great to have a signature scent, sometimes it helps to switch things up and discover new perfumes to bring out your inner woman.
Here are some suggestions to match your desired vibe:
- Floral scents: Embrace your soft, romantic side with the allure of flowers.
- Fresh or fruity scents: Boost your confidence and energy levels with invigorating notes.
- Woody or oriental scents: Unleash your inner seductress with warm, captivating fragrances.

2. Be More Polite
Did you know that politeness plays a significant role in enhancing your feminine image?
Countless studies have shown that women tend to excel in the realm of manners, and adopting these social graces can truly elevate your femininity.
Here are three suggestions to keep in mind:
- Embrace the power of “please” and “thank you” – These little words hold huge power in conveying respect and gratitude. Remember to use them often in your daily interactions.
- Soften your language – For example, instead of bluntly saying “I can’t hear you,” opt for a more gentle approach like, “I’m sorry, I can’t quite hear you.” This subtle shift demonstrates empathy and consideration.
- Mind your online presence – Politeness shouldn’t be limited to face-to-face encounters. It’s equally important to be polite when texting, emailing, or engaging in online discussions.
3. Loosen Up
If you’re looking for an instant way to enhance your feminine image, here’s a simple secret: loosen up! This applies to both your body and your mind, and it can work wonders in unleashing your true feminine grace.
First, let’s focus on loosening up your body:
Women naturally possess a graceful, limber quality. If your body feels tense and tight, it can manifest in stiff, jerky movements that lack femininity. Here’s how you can loosen up:
- Consciously relax your body, especially your jaw and shoulders.
- Stretch your muscles on a daily basis.
- Take lots of deep, relaxing breaths.
These simple body-loosening techniques can do more to feminize your movements than all the hip shaking in the world!
Now, let’s shift our focus to loosening up your mind:
The happiest crossdressers and transgender women I know don’t get hung up on “passing” or trying to please everybody. Instead, they embrace who they are while constantly striving to improve themselves.
Life is short, so above all, relax and enjoy the journey!

I went for my first makeover and sat in a salon style area with many other women. My makeup artist knew I was not a GG, but I was treated and felt like a woman the whole time. I’ve gained so much confidence in going out, even though I don’t believe I “pass”. No one gives me a negative reaction, and I’ve started interacting more with people I meet. And I’m always polite!
Wonderful to hear of your experience!
When I correspond with my favorite trans friend I become the Joyce I have always wanted to be. And I phrase things differently than I normally would. Such as “You go girl!” and “Chit Chat” and “hon” or “sweety” and use xxx and ooo to emphasize and so forth. I really enjoy these things and they come natural to Joyce. The voice is important but there is a lot of deep voiced women such as Bea Arthur and Cher. And body is important but The female wrestlers and body builders are real too. So I have lost some weight but I stay in shape as much as I can and I de-emphasize the male straight body with A – line blouses and Dresses and dress in layers. It just feels right to be a girl. I even wear skinny jeans when in male mode and I don’t care what people think. I am me.
embracing who you are is a key element to becoming your feminine self
Hi Lucille,
Thank you so much for introducing Cheeky Physique Volumizing breast serum. I went from an A cup to almost a D in 8 months without HRT. I am the woman I want to be to the extent that I can be. I wish everyone who wants to would drop their inhibitions and go for what they truly want.
There has been no better time then now. Stand with all of us. We’re not going away and we’re not backing down. There are so many trans youth and their parents coming forward that need our help now more than ever.
Lock arms and stand with me. I love you all.
(((Hugs)))

what i love to do to feel feminine is to slip on maxi pad, its always makes me feel good, put on some nickers or a thong, and in the summer nothings better than putting on one piece swimsuit and going for a swim.
its actually what i was stressing to a trans want a be yesterday before i read this.its not about passing, some have a harder time then others doing it in her case , i told her she was a very good looking pre hormone trans. as far as passing she was only part of the way there. but passing wasnt important like being loose and confident. if your a good looking trans and act like you belong , passing isnt as important if your excepted as you are.women usually will treat the same. even if they know your trans, if you do it right and actually become one of them. Its gets so hard at times to even know if you pass, theres no way of knowing for sure, if your doing it right. I explained to her , since she was so afraid of being discovered that she looked more like a man trying to pass as a woman. Women dont like that and treat you as such.
If your truely a woman, and act like your not ashamed of who you are, you can actually ask them for help, and they will be glad to help you. SO ITS NOT ABOUT PASSING AS MUCH AS THE DESIRE TO BE ONE . its not a game, its being reborn into who you were meant to be. True trans are not afraid to be themselves and dont really care what others think, that sets them free to live there dream.

To often we trans, slip into a little bit of a male mode. usually we do this when forget the three things mentioned. we forget to smell like a girl we can look like a girl thats easy, but to smell like one is easy to forget. Then you need to have manners of a girl also. again its easy to forget to be polite like one also. good point worth bring up. Lastly if you dont flex your self your acting more like your old self. Men usually are not into flex you body, and sometime we need to flex our minds so we remember the truly simple but important things of being a girl. we slip a little back to boy mode without realizing it.
