Do you go out in public as a woman?
If the answer is no, you’re not alone. Nearly 75% of my readers rarely or never leave the house en femme.
While going out en femme can be exciting and empowering, it’s not the only way to express your feminine side as a crossdresser or transgender woman.
Whether you choose to go out or keep it private, both options are valid!
This is an important topic, and I’d love to know what you think.
Where do YOU present yourself as a woman?
- Strictly in the privacy of your own home?
- At select places – like nightclubs, meetups, or conferences?
- Anywhere and everywhere as a full time woman?

I’m in the process of going full time but haven’t got to my goal yet but I’ve made big steps in 2015 and hoping to go farther in 2016
Hello Lucille, first of all I want to thank you so very much for all your interest and support! It is so wonderful to have a confidant and genuine friend who is there for support when I need it. The answer to your questions earlier are, yes I am in transition and have been living as a woman for almost a year! Estrogen therapy had to be interrupted due to complications with my diabetes. This was very disappointing to me because I was just about where I wanted to be, in terms of femininity! 1 year on female hormones might not be as advantageous as it might have been. At any rate I will continue to pursue my ultimate goal of becoming a woman regardless if I can continue estrogen therapy or not! Living as a full-time woman is the most important thing in my life since I was about 10 years of age. Lucille I would love to talk to you at your convenience anytime, always a pleasure, and thank-you again! Sincerely with love Joanie…xoxo
Joanie
So sorry to hear about your estrogen issue, but wanted to let you know how lovely and feminine you look.
Jill
Thank you so very much Jill! You are so sweet!
I travel with my wife full time in our RV home and spend at least 6 months in Mesa AZ. I have been very lucky to become involved with a fantastic group here called Arizona Tgirls. We meet once a month at a Phoenix restaurant/bar for dinner and then many of the group continues on to the local clubs. That is the formal part of this groups gatherings, but they have various meet ups at other TG/CD venues and stores as they come up on the calendar. I have made some friends who have homes near where I stay and we get together whenever we can for girl time, shopping, drinks, etc. I am working toward going full time, but I need help from the medical world to achieve a passible look. I am so thankful for Lucille and the products she makes available to us girls. Knowing I am female is a great thing but living as a woman is a huge challenge. I dress in femme as often as possible because I know practice is very important to unlearn all the male mannerisms, thinking and gestures TG women have been forced to adopt. As more and more of us take to the streets, malls, work places and so on the more we will be accepted, which is also a big part of each of us living happily as how we truly are. Thanks again Lucille for all your support.
I’m in transition. I’m happily living the life I was meant to live- as my true gender. It was scary at first, but honestly, when my time comes, no one is getting into that box for me. I need to live my life, my way. ❤
Lucille, When I dress up is usually at home alone. I do at times , usually at night, I go out for a drive at night. I have on occasion gather courage to dress up and go to a costume party. Although I have a lot of room for improvement in my journey to be feminine. I have had a few positive comments about my dress and mannerism to project myself as feminine. although I have a way to go to improve my self, what few positive comments I get does help with my confidence. As I continue to express myself as a woman I wish people would have a better understanding and accept me for what I truly wish to be.
Re: TriEss–once a needed organization–now obsolete as our society has opened up. Pay their dues if you wish but you will never hear from the national organization
Also-I agree with Marilyn (above) -going out in public is the ultimate high and I do so regularly. If I’m read nobody cares so get out of the closet!!
I am a woman. Period. I’m a woman at work, at church, out shopping, around my family and friends. I’m even a woman when I am by myself.
Being en femme is a lot of fun for me. Most often, I am en femme in the privacy of my home or when I meet a friend in a motel for a private photoshoot where we can enjoy being en femme together. If this is the case, my attire will vary based on the profile I want to project. If I am presentable enough I will go out to a local TG friendly restaurant or to my TG friendly salon to say hello to the girls there. In this case I will only go out in sophisticated and classical or business attire. Whenever I get the opportunity to go to Seattle, I try to spend time with Emerald Fantasy, a transformation service. If this is the case I will go out to local stores and shopping malls and out to restaurants, all the time enjoying being en femme and just blending in. Lately, I have been spending time en femme in the privacy of my girlfriend’s home. She helps me with my makeup, attire and mannerisms to help me to become more feminine and natural.
