If you’re like many of my transgender or crossdressing readers, you might not be able to present yourself as a woman each day.
That doesn’t mean you have to lose your female side when it’s time to put on the pants!
In this post, I share 5 ways to stay in touch with your femininity – even in male mode.
1. Wear Women’s Underwear
Let’s start with the most obvious tip, shall we? Wearing women’s underwear underneath your male clothing is the easiest way to connect with your feminine self on a daily basis.
Aside from that, women’s panties tend to be more comfortable than men’s boxers or briefs. Plus, they come in loads of cute and sexy styles to add some secret pizazz to your outfit.
2. Try Stealth Crossdressing
Wearing lingerie under your clothes is a classic, but why stop there? Sneaking a piece of women’s clothing into your daily outfit is a great way to feel girly.
A lot of women’s clothing can pass for unisex, so try wearing women’s:
- Basic tees
- Button-down shirts
- Jeans and pants
Don’t forget about accessories! You could also play with wearing women’s boots or using a tote bag as a laptop bag or briefcase.
3. Apply Incognito Makeup
There are lots of ways to incorporate makeup into your daily look, even when presenting as a male. Here are 4 must-have makeup items:
- Concealer or foundation – Apply a thin layer to cover under eye circles or blemishes.
- Setting powder – Apply to shiny spots on your face, like the nose or forehead.
- Clear mascara – Use it to make your eyelashes look subtly longer and fuller.
- Uncolored lipstick – Instead of boring Chapstick, care for your lips with a clear lipstick.
4. Use the Power of Scent
Scents have a powerful effect on your brain chemistry and mood, so this is a great way to connect with your feminine side.
Wear women’s perfume instead of cologne. Musky fragrances are the most unisex, so you can wear them without anybody knowing your secret. (Check out my article on perfume to learn more about choosing the right scent.)
Another option is to burn a scented candle with a feminine fragrance in your home or office.
5. Keep Reminders of Your Female Self
Another tip is to surround yourself with reminders of the woman within.
One way to do this is through photos. Keep photos of your femme self on your phone, in your wallet, or even framed and hung up so you can see them often.
You could also carry around items personalized with your feminine name, such as a necklace, keychain, or coffee mug.
6. Try Feminizing Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a powerful way to increase confidence, reprogram habits and behaviors, and improve the way you express yourself as a woman.
Best of all, it’s the ultimate mental escape – allowing you to connect with you female self regardless of your current situation.
Try it for yourself by signing up for my free Unleash Your Inner Woman hypnosis mini-session here.
How do YOU stay connected?
In an ideal world, you’d be free to present yourself as a woman whenever and wherever you wanted. Until then, I hope this gives you ideas for expressing your female side anytime you want!

I love the suggestions and your articles on feeling and expressing our feminity.
I get manicures and leave my nails long and round. Clear polish and top coats add to the look. It is so groomed and so pretty and a constant reminder how femme I am. Then when I finally get into my femme outfits I can do my nails in a pretty color. Doing them French is estatic for me.
I do pedicures as well and the first time I painted them I swooned. It was and remains a total feeling pretty time.
As you say, feeling pretty is so key to feeling my feminine self.I love my Molly 24/7 and cherish the gift of being multi gendered.
Love how you put that: “… cherish the gift of being multi-gendered.” YES!
Having retired, I have the freedom to dress anytime I wish and now it is second nature. I have been blessed with a part time job as receptionist/dogsbody in a hair and beauty salon a few days a week. Love it. The ambience is always nice and the customers get treated very well. Seeing all the ladies leave on a high from whatever they may hve had done that day is truly uplifting. It has also helped me develop my own femininity almost by osmosis. Seeing. Believing. Absorbing. Plus I get my hair done free!
Wonderful! Love the photos, too.
Love to dress daily. I which I was brave enough to go outside. THanks for these ideas. I’ll have to try to sneak a pantie or two out of the house.
Love,
Danna
I should also have said that I do have dresses, capris, shorts, skirts, even women’s bathing suits, both 2 piece bikini’s as well as some sexy 1 piece suits.
My wardrobe is mostly women’s now and I love it!
I donated almost all of my mens clothes this year to the salvation Army, except for a few dress shirts, T-shirts, polos and some of my leather jackets.
I always wear Victoria’s secret panties everyday, and Body by Victoria Bras most of the time, would love to wear my Bras to work but being a 36C they definitely show and co-workers would not deal with it well. Always wear Victoria Secret jeans or other womens pants to work and nobody says anything, I love they way they fit. Always keep my body entirely hair free, always get pedicures and have my toes polished, again just love the look, makes me feel feminine. I have pierced ears, more than one in each ear. I have long brown hair w/highlights, past my shoulders. Wear women’s clogs to work all the time, outside of work wear all women’s shoes, high heels, sandals, boots, etc. I love wearing pantyhose or colored tights in the Fall and Winter, keep my legs warm and feel so good against my smooth skin. Love womens bath products, perfumes, makeup, etc.
Really appreciate all your advice, eventually want to live 24/7 as a woman. Keep hoping that society will eventually accept T-Girls more, for now just accept that in certian situations have to be careful how I present myself.
Hi girls,
Thanks for some excellent replies and thank you Lucille for your sound advice. I often wear pretty panties under my (male) trousers and if working in my office at home, will always wear a pretty bra and nice blouse. It just feels so right.
I think I will now buy a couple of plain blouses to wear to work and I am sure it will be a thrill to know I am being true to my girly self.

Around the house I wear a long T shirt with a waist cincher wrapped around my middle which gives me that feminine shape, and the T shirt flairs our from the waist cincher and looks like a dress, and I wear a thong underneath. I also wear clear nail polish and lipstick around the house. When I go out I wear lip balm that has a faint colour in it and I wear a make called Thin Lizzy, which is fairly suttle. I have long hair down passed my shoulders and I wear unisex clothes when I go out and I often get mistaken for a woman (“you can serve that lady first”) and such comments. I find that people don’t look as hard at us as we look at ourselves. I enjoy exploring my femininity and my wife joins in in the fun. The next thing is for us to have a girls night out. Have fun and enjoy who you are.
