If you’re like many of my transgender or crossdressing readers, you might not be able to present yourself as a woman each day.
That doesn’t mean you have to lose your female side when it’s time to put on the pants!
In this post, I share 5 ways to stay in touch with your femininity – even in male mode.
1. Wear Women’s Underwear
Let’s start with the most obvious tip, shall we? Wearing women’s underwear underneath your male clothing is the easiest way to connect with your feminine self on a daily basis.
Aside from that, women’s panties tend to be more comfortable than men’s boxers or briefs. Plus, they come in loads of cute and sexy styles to add some secret pizazz to your outfit.
2. Try Stealth Crossdressing
Wearing lingerie under your clothes is a classic, but why stop there? Sneaking a piece of women’s clothing into your daily outfit is a great way to feel girly.
A lot of women’s clothing can pass for unisex, so try wearing women’s:
- Basic tees
- Button-down shirts
- Jeans and pants
Don’t forget about accessories! You could also play with wearing women’s boots or using a tote bag as a laptop bag or briefcase.
3. Apply Incognito Makeup
There are lots of ways to incorporate makeup into your daily look, even when presenting as a male. Here are 4 must-have makeup items:
- Concealer or foundation – Apply a thin layer to cover under eye circles or blemishes.
- Setting powder – Apply to shiny spots on your face, like the nose or forehead.
- Clear mascara – Use it to make your eyelashes look subtly longer and fuller.
- Uncolored lipstick – Instead of boring Chapstick, care for your lips with a clear lipstick.
4. Use the Power of Scent
Scents have a powerful effect on your brain chemistry and mood, so this is a great way to connect with your feminine side.
Wear women’s perfume instead of cologne. Musky fragrances are the most unisex, so you can wear them without anybody knowing your secret. (Check out my article on perfume to learn more about choosing the right scent.)
Another option is to burn a scented candle with a feminine fragrance in your home or office.
5. Keep Reminders of Your Female Self
Another tip is to surround yourself with reminders of the woman within.
One way to do this is through photos. Keep photos of your femme self on your phone, in your wallet, or even framed and hung up so you can see them often.
You could also carry around items personalized with your feminine name, such as a necklace, keychain, or coffee mug.
6. Try Feminizing Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a powerful way to increase confidence, reprogram habits and behaviors, and improve the way you express yourself as a woman.
Best of all, it’s the ultimate mental escape – allowing you to connect with you female self regardless of your current situation.
Try it for yourself by signing up for my free Unleash Your Inner Woman hypnosis mini-session here.
How do YOU stay connected?
In an ideal world, you’d be free to present yourself as a woman whenever and wherever you wanted. Until then, I hope this gives you ideas for expressing your female side anytime you want!
How do YOU stay connected to your feminine self? I’d love to know, so please share in the comments below!

I like to keep my toe nails Polished I also like to keep everything shaved, Legs , Under Arms & the more Private Areas it makes me feel very Feminine I also use a female shower gel in the bath as do not have a shower in my rented property, it all goes to make me feel very Feminine. Julie
Nothing works better for me than shaving my legs and underarms. I also trim bikini close and have a nice v shaped look. I like to put some clear polish on my nails but am afraid totrim my brows too closely. I shower with a feminine smellingbody wash and try to wear panties and womens pants on casual Fridays.
I wear ladies trouser socks every day and keep my eyebrows trimmed and shaped. I also keep my underarms clean shaven. Oh, how I wish I could take it farther. Thank you Lucille for inspiration.
Hi Lucille,
I want to thank you SO very much for this post. I had hit a point where I was starting to feel like it had to be all or nothing. If I couldn’t be all girlie, I just didn’t think I should even try at all. The outcome: MANY tearful nights & pushing myself REALLY close to full-blown depression. This past Friday I stopped at the store on my way home from work and bought some cute girlie socks & 2 pairs of capris. Amazing how shopping can lift a girl’s spirits :). I’m amazed at how much more feminine I felt by a new pair of cheap socks; I also had on pink underwear (recently switched to only wearing womens underwear). And to top it off, I think I found my new favorite style of pants. I really wish I had found your website in my teen years. You’re the best girlie!

Hi Lucille,
I don’t get much opportunity to go out dressed en femme so I rely on a range of covert practices to remain as close to my femininity as possible.
I try to wear some items of female clothing as often as I can including panties (frequently), lacy cami-tops under a thick shirt (when the weather is cooler), stockings and a garter belt (occasionally), a bra and breast-forms (only under very bulky clothing), corsets(rarely) and quite often female jeans and/or a female leather jacket.
I use after-shaves with a female type fragrance such as Jean-Paul Gautier or CK1 and make frequent use of a lip balm lip-stick (it doesn’t show but it feels like a cosmetic lip-stick!) and I always keep my nails well-manicured. I do sometimes wear toe-nail polish and love the brief surprise it gives me first thing in the morning when I get out of bed!
At bath or shower times I use a ‘scrunchy’ with a sweet-smelling shower cream and regularly use ‘Soap & Glory’ super exfoliating scrub gloves for an all-over girly skin softness.
I use female moisturising cream regularly including night-cream and sometimes anti-wrinkle cream as well. I pluck my eyebrows as close to a female shape as I can without drawing attention to myself.
When I’m out alone I practice walking in a feminine manner and concentrate on my posture and deportment. If I’m in a secluded area (such as walking my dog in the woods), I also practice my female voice exercises.
I regularly sleep with panties on and often with a silk nightie as well. I am working hard to improve my figure and sleep with an under-bust corset whenever I can.
Bedtime is also the time I listen to my Ultimate Hypnotic Feminisation Programme (I love the updated version by the way) and find that a great help in reinforcing my femininity.
Thanks for all your great advice and tips,
Carole.
I look after my body – moisturising cream for face – eye cream to keep the wrinkles at bay – keep my body free of hair – silky, satin moisturiser every day over all my body after my shower – keep my eyebrows trimmed – my neck shaved and trimmed – regular breast massage
Sexy undies whenever and wherever – silky feel hold up stockings and panties
OOh! it feels good
Hi lisa you look so sexy and fem a real woman love to see more of you in panties and stockings
I do lots of little things to stay a little girly under my male exterior. I always wear panties. I wear a bra when I can which is almost any time I’m wearing bulky clothes. I keep my legs and underarms shaved…everything else shaved too. One other thing I do which I haven’t seen mentioned is I have my toe nails polished all but for a couple of summer months. I love when I take off my shoes at the end of the day and see my feminine feet. – Julie
Julie I also keep my toes polished nothing hotter than feminine toes
You go girl! You look beautiful.
It seems you picked the perfect time for this blog entry. I have been on vacation from work since last wednesday. I have only worn men’s clothes for a few hours this week and I have enjoyed it immensely. We’ve had pretty weather here the past few days, so I have been dressed in shorts and camis for the most part. The nights have been a little cooler, so I usually change into a pair of leggings and throw on a hoodie. I always wear panties everywhere I go and occasionally a bra (I’m trying to grow into a B-Cup). Thank you for sharing your breast enlargement secrets in your book and I’m sure I’ll have a few pictures for you by summertime.
