If you’re like many of my transgender or crossdressing readers, you might not be able to present yourself as a woman each day.
That doesn’t mean you have to lose your female side when it’s time to put on the pants!
In this post, I share 5 ways to stay in touch with your femininity – even in male mode.
1. Wear Women’s Underwear
Let’s start with the most obvious tip, shall we? Wearing women’s underwear underneath your male clothing is the easiest way to connect with your feminine self on a daily basis.
Aside from that, women’s panties tend to be more comfortable than men’s boxers or briefs. Plus, they come in loads of cute and sexy styles to add some secret pizazz to your outfit.
2. Try Stealth Crossdressing
Wearing lingerie under your clothes is a classic, but why stop there? Sneaking a piece of women’s clothing into your daily outfit is a great way to feel girly.
A lot of women’s clothing can pass for unisex, so try wearing women’s:
- Basic tees
- Button-down shirts
- Jeans and pants
Don’t forget about accessories! You could also play with wearing women’s boots or using a tote bag as a laptop bag or briefcase.
3. Apply Incognito Makeup
There are lots of ways to incorporate makeup into your daily look, even when presenting as a male. Here are 4 must-have makeup items:
- Concealer or foundation – Apply a thin layer to cover under eye circles or blemishes.
- Setting powder – Apply to shiny spots on your face, like the nose or forehead.
- Clear mascara – Use it to make your eyelashes look subtly longer and fuller.
- Uncolored lipstick – Instead of boring Chapstick, care for your lips with a clear lipstick.
4. Use the Power of Scent
Scents have a powerful effect on your brain chemistry and mood, so this is a great way to connect with your feminine side.
Wear women’s perfume instead of cologne. Musky fragrances are the most unisex, so you can wear them without anybody knowing your secret. (Check out my article on perfume to learn more about choosing the right scent.)
Another option is to burn a scented candle with a feminine fragrance in your home or office.
5. Keep Reminders of Your Female Self
Another tip is to surround yourself with reminders of the woman within.
One way to do this is through photos. Keep photos of your femme self on your phone, in your wallet, or even framed and hung up so you can see them often.
You could also carry around items personalized with your feminine name, such as a necklace, keychain, or coffee mug.
6. Try Feminizing Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a powerful way to increase confidence, reprogram habits and behaviors, and improve the way you express yourself as a woman.
Best of all, it’s the ultimate mental escape – allowing you to connect with you female self regardless of your current situation.
Try it for yourself by signing up for my free Unleash Your Inner Woman hypnosis mini-session here.
How do YOU stay connected?
In an ideal world, you’d be free to present yourself as a woman whenever and wherever you wanted. Until then, I hope this gives you ideas for expressing your female side anytime you want!
How do YOU stay connected to your feminine self? I’d love to know, so please share in the comments below!

Yes, I wear women’s clothing everyday in my male mode at work. Shirts, pants, jeans, shorts, anything that’s not too overly feminine. Of course, I wear my bra and panties all the time. I wear pink nail polish and my pink converse sneakers. Most of my co-workers, who have known me for years as a man, accept the changes and support and compliment me. This really raises my confidence. Most of all, wearing my women’s clothes makes me feel comfortable and happy and connected to my femininity even in the male world. Great site. Very thought-provoking.
I also dress feminine daily wear bra and panties daily also fem.pants tops shoes knee hi’s but not frilly wear bras as a must since breasts have grown wonderfully bigger

Thank you
Hello to all of you lovely Ladies in hiding ! I try so many different looks and styles that my wardrobe has exceeded my closet ! I’ve figured out that Women for the most part are Ok with us wearing all the stuff they say is uncomfortable for them ! And they turn around and bring me clothing that does fit or what knot . After all they always try to feminize the guys they are with ! I also found if you try to emulate some one helps a lot ! Society is more excepting of female impersonators than they are with Transgender people ! In this Picture I’m portraying Sigourney Weaver when she stated in GHOST BUSTER’S ! I’ve also have portrayed Peggy Bundy , Corrol Burnett , & Sally Jesse Rofiel !
I am semi retired and work only part time seasonally. I wear skirts and dresses all the time when I’m home and I love lingerie. I read that one of your readers has gynecomastia, growth of the male breast. I do as well and I love my girls that fit nicely into a C cup bra. In a T shirt y breasts really show, so to lessen this effect I wear either a minimizer bra or an Enell sports bra. The Enell bra will actually flatten out the breast area.I also use Kiss 100 acrylic nails which if i plan it right I may be able to wear them for a couple of weeks before having to go public. When I am working I wear panties and panty hose or knee highs. I find that a pretty pair of petti pants works well too as does one of several camisoles that I have. One job that I have requires me to be on my feet most of the day. This causes lower back pain. My Dr. recommended a back brace. Instead I purchased a Rago high waist girdle with satin panels and plenty of support. I do anything I possible can to be my feminine self.
I wear panties all the time and body shapers with tights and pantyhose It keeps me feeling like a female.I shave my legs and rest of body to look more feminine and I am proud of myself.I love to shop for womens clothing at stores for women and try on the clothing at store.I have been wearing womens skinny jeans and heels for most of the winter months I am getting more confident about being who I am.Thank you Lucille for all of your support and help on my journey.
