Your feminine image is about more than just the way you look. It’s also about the way you speak, move, think, act, and smell. Yes, SMELL!
Scent is strongly linked to emotions – and the right perfume can make you feel irresistibly feminine.
How do you choose the perfect feminizing perfume? Here are the different types of perfume scents and the impressions they create:
Floral Perfumes
Floral perfumes are based on the scent of one flower (like lavender, rose, gardenia, or geranium) or a combination of several flowers.
Floral perfumes are great for crossdressers and transgender women since they are the most feminine of fragrances. Wear a floral perfume when you want to express your soft, romantic side.
Examples of floral perfumes include: Daisy by Marc Jacobs, Estée Lauder White Linen, Dior J’Adore, Stella by Stella McCartney, Kenzo Flower by Kenzo, and L‘Air du Temps by Nina Ricci.
Fruity Perfumes
Fruity perfumes contain citrus scents, such as lemon, grapefruit, strawberry, peach, kiwi, etc.
Fruity perfumes are fresh and youthful, making them a great choice for when you want to feel confident and energetic.
Examples of fruity perfumes include: L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani, Cartier Eau de Cartier, Sun Flowers by Elizabeth Arden, Beautiful Sheer by Estée Lauder, DKNY by Donna Karan, and Emporio White by Giorgio Armani.
Fresh Perfumes
Fresh perfumes (also called green scents) are light and airy. They are based on scents of grass, green leaves and the ocean.
Fresh perfumes are energetic and rejuvenating. They are great to wear when you are out “en femme” since they boost your mood and put other people at ease.
Examples of fresh perfumes include: J.Lo Glow by Jennifer Lopez, Fifth Avenue by Elizabeth Arden, Diorissimo, Dune by Christian Dior, Bond No. 9, and Safari by Ralph Lauren.
Oriental Perfumes
Oriental perfumes are rich and dramatic and smell of spices, musk, vanilla and heavy flowers.
Oriental perfumes have a sexy and sophisticated air. Just be sure to choose a light scent since oriental perfumes can lean toward the masculine side.
Examples of oriental perfumes include: Dior Addict, Lancome Attraction, Opium by Yves Saint Laurent, Samsara by Guerlain, Lalique Perfume by Lalique, and Sun Moon & Stars by Karl Lagerfeld.
Woody Perfumes
Woody perfumes are heavy and dramatic and are incorporate scents like sandalwood, patchouli, and cedar.
Woody perfumes are sensual and exotic, but they are the most masculine of all fragrances. Therefore, you may want to avoid this particular fragrance type.
Examples of woody perfumes include: Passion by Elizabeth Taylor, Escada by Escada, Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker, Cashmere Mist by Donna Karan, Habanita by Molinard, and Givenchy Organza.
What’s YOUR favorite perfume?
Keep these guidelines in mind – but remember, the most important criteria for choosing a perfume is how pretty and feminine it makes YOU feel!

I love Guerlain’s Scents. Shalimar always caught my attention when wome wore it, and also Champs Elysee ans Samsara. The French are wonderful prefumiers. Since I am still in the closet. I only wear what my wife has on hand. Mostly Vanilla Fields and Ralph Lauren. i try to buy her as many different pretty floral scented bath product from Bath and Body Works and VS, and of course wear them as well.
Took me time to read all of the comments, but I truly loved the post. It proved to be very helpful to me and I am certain to all of the commenters here! It is usually good when you can not only be informed, but also engaged! I am sure you had pleasure writing this article.online education degree

Hi Lucille and all TG friends.
I discovered a fantastic eau de perfume last weekend at a taxfree store at Gatwick – a new fragrance from JLo – “live”. It has the lightness and the freshness that made me fell in love with it right away! Remember: Heavy perfumes are for old ladies and mums!
So girls – go ahead – try it! You’ll love it! Go for JLo!

Thank you Lucille with your tips
I am inspired to try some of the wonderful advice from everyone! I have always loved “White Shoulders” and “Anais Anais”.Now I feel I must try other scents, just thinking about it has me very excited! I use unscented deodorant and shaving gel,so I don’t detract from the intended purpose. I apply just a drop to each inner thigh and between my breasts, where body heat can work its magic! Thanks ever so much Lucille for providing the forum and fabulous topics, and to all your friends for the great responses! Best Wishes and Sweet Kisses Honey
Thanks to you girls, I’ve just learned about a ton of new perfumes! I always love the responses I get here.
Hi all!
Kate Beckman “Intimately” perfume is by far my fav!
It is light and very feminine! Also very affordable too!
XOXOXO =)
“Most woody perfumes should be avoided by TG girls.” Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker is listed as an example. I noticed that this perfume was also listed under Floral. Which one is it?
I have several samples that I use on special occasions. I keep using the ones I get compliments on. Usually, I don’t wear perfume because my best friend has a sensitivity to them. That and candles. And since she is one of my employers as well, I limit the times I wear boss repellent.
Sorry for the confusion, Melissa! Some perfume sites consider it a floral, some a woody. It’s technically a “floral woody.” I saw WEAR IT if it makes you feel feminine. 😉
