Lucille:
My femmi name is Tammy. I pick this name because I didn’t like the names that were close to William and I like this name. So this is how Tammy Allen was made. I pick the last name so I would not use the family name.
I even made a E-mail address for Tammy and that is the address I use for you blog. I now this is short but it is the reason I pick the name.
Tammy (William)
My name heather came about for two reasons. One there was an actress in Twin Peaks called Heather Graham and I really loved the femininity of her character so Heather was a name I thought highly of. Then I had to choose a name that would go with my unusual surname and it seemed to fit. 🙂

Hi Lucille,
Always nice to here from you. I picked two names, Helen and Christine. One from Greek Mythology, the face that launched a thousand ships. Not that I can compete there, but I thought she was someone whom I could aspire to in the early stages when about to go ‘En-Femme.’ And Christine because it’s a name which I associate with being Christened, or in my case Re-Christened.
Hugs n kisses.
Helen.
Well I have two name that I like and use interchangeable. Growing up I had a best friend female that used to dress me. And she named me laura and I loved that name. When the Tomb Raider movies came out it really made me love the name even more. : Angelina Jolie made a very sexy Laura and I always dreamed of having her body. So there is the story for my names
Laura
Well originally for many years I was using Jessica but my sisters best friend had the same name. I tried many different ones that I liked and could actually sign but none of them clicked. Well one night I had fallen asleep while meditating and just as I woke up the name Sophia had popped into my head. I had never before that time even considered it. I can only assume as my meditiation gradually brought down my barriers to go full time and come out to everyone they also cracked open my female identity and tapped into my feminine energy and she released her true name to me. There was no thought to it or second guessing. It just became Sophia as if it always was.
A few years ago I was changing my online femme name at the drop of a hat. Then, online, a lady I like suggested Betsy, which has stuck.
My wife actually picked my name–mostly so she could ask me things like “is this something Diane would like?” She just came up with it because she thought it fit (although I can’t help but wonder if there was a subconscious significance as this was back when Cheers was on TV (Shelly Long’s character was Diane Chambers). I’ve been comfortable with it so I’ve never given much thought to trying anything else. For my last name I use my mother’s maiden name (that just makes sense to me).
Hi Lucille,
The source of my Femme name is simple. When I was at school one of my class mates was called Carolyne, she was a beautiful girl and I liked the sound of her name as it sounded to me soft and feminine, so I asked her if she would mind if I adopted the name as my own when I was en-femme, she was over-joyed and readily agreed. Hence I’ve adopted the name Carolyne, and I love it.
Hugs ‘n’ stuff
Carolyne.
