I’m excited to hear the story!

I chose Samantha at first because it was simply the female version of my legal name, and since then, it has just felt right, so I chose to keep it.
Hi Lucille, Hi I am Bobbie-Jo Holly, I will not tell you my name at birth because it is a strange name.Bobbie-Jo came from the girls on Petticoat Junction you know the 1950& 1960’s. Well i just liked it that’s all i can say .I’ve always felt i was female from the begining as a little girl. But we were poor and because of depression i found it hard to work and earn money. Well i do work when i can and earn money when i can. The name Holly came from Christmas as i LOVE CHRISTMAS. As you may be able to tell i am ( TS ) but wish i was just born completely female. I am a hetrosextual female christian all my life so far. As i said i just LOVE CHRISTMAS and all it stands for. Well i would like to tell you more but there is ownly so much time and space here, love to hear from you. Love from Ms. Bobbie-Jo Holly
Dear Lucille,
Years ago when I was married, my wife was told by the strange woman that inhabited her husbands body that her name was “Catlin”. Not Caitlyn or any other form on the true female Kate, but prounced as “Cat’Lyn. This is the way that it was spelled for my ex years ago before the name Caitlin became popular.
How is that for a “Horror Story”?
The way my name of Kaylee came about,is I took two middle names of relatives. One my mothers middle name ,and two my sister who passed away, I took her middle name too.
That way I could have them in my heart always, even if we should have problems.mom>kay, sister>lee which came to be KAYLEE.I have had this name over 30 years now. It’s always been me.
Wow… you look amazing!
Prior to my transition I had changed the spelling of my old name Alan to Alynne on my emails and IM’s. I have always been a form of Anne as my initials were AN, and I have signed thousands of documents with AN. I also always loved the name Anne, like it better with the e on the end like Anne Boleyn (read Anne of a thousand days years ago).
I liked Lainie Kazan’s name and made an email of Anne Kazan, prior to transition. I also had a girlfriend when I was 19-22 named Laney, but I did not name myself after her.
When I announced at school where I taught I was going to live the rest of my life female, someone asked me: “What do we call you now?”
My immediate UNTHINKING response was: “LAINIE!”
So actually the name chose me. When I filed for my name change, I decided to have 4 names instead of three. Anne was a foregone conclusion for the second name, and for my third I took the form of Alan I had changed to Alynne (now I pronounce it as uh-LYN). I didn’t like the way Lainie sounded with my former one syllable name so I decided to change it to Nelson, actually a deviation of my old name Neel, Neelson, etc. Again, the name chose me, it was just the right name unthinkingly.
The original male line name was O’Niall, the dynasty that ruled Ireland for 800yrs. It was changed to O’Neal somewhere along the line and my grandfather changed it to Neal, then my father changed it to Neel. My son is the IIIrd, but now the only one left with that name. There are no more Neel descendants, but I have a grandson from my 2nd daughter.
Since I am also a descendant of William III of Orange who conquered Ireland, I claim to be the pretender by blood to the Irish throne legitimately. Hence Empress Lainie, Imperatrix Eire.
My sisters actually gave me my name … my birth name is Micheal Joesph so it wasn’t a big stretch to get to Michelle Jo … My sisters started dressing me as their little sister or dolly when I was only 18 months and this continued until I was almost 5. Mom made them stop then because she was afraid it might cause me problems when I started school … TOO late mom, I was already too in love with my femininity and the love my sisters shared with me when I was dressed as their little sister. They would let me spend lots of time with them and we would share everything. I just slipped into the closet, and continued to dress as much as I could. My closest sister completely understood, she would give me her things she had out-grown or just didn’t want anymore … as I got older and my own job, I started buying my own things and still do to this day.
