Your name plays a big part in shaping your feminine identity.
Some names sound sweet and innocent, some are classic and regal, while others exude an exotic and mysterious vibe.
As a crossdresser or trans woman, you have the unique opportunity of choosing your own female name.
If you’re like most of my readers, there’s a story behind your chosen feminine name.
So, in this blog post, I’d love to hear about the special meaning behind your name.
Please leave a comment below, sharing your feminine name and the story of how and why you chose it for yourself.
I’m excited to hear the story!
Love,
Lucille
My name comes from two areas. First my male name was Dave, so dawn was an easy switch. Elizabeth is a name I always wanted to be called since I was a very young girl. Also dawn is the name of one of my very best friends from many years ago, and she suggested I use it. She says “It fits who you are.” It was also chosen at the dawn of my life as a woman
I call myself Cindy,
As a young child I knew I wanted to be a girl. I was fasinated with the story of Cinderella. So every night I went to sleep dreaming of a majic transformation into a beautiful princess, Cindy 😉
It’s fairly simple. I tossed around in my mind about using my middle name, Dana, but it didn’t really do anything for me. I needed a new identity, one that fit me. As I was driving one day, the name Natalie came into my mind out of nowhere. So to make a story shorter, on December 30th 2010, the Judge signed the paper legalizing my new first name to NATALIE. And there you have it.
Natalie
The reason I chose Denice was because my sister inlaw helped me to do a lot of the major changes in my head . Without here I’d still be an ordinary guy! And she said when I’m all dressed to go out that I look like a Denice!!
Lianne was kind of a weird choice for me. I wanted a feminine-sounding name, and one that was unique or exotic… like Italian or something. Then I just dropped the first three letters of “Italian” and I had the name I was after. Of course, it doesn’t especially sound Italian, but I like the sound of it. I think it suits the new me!
The reason I choose Jessica is one day me a friend were having some fun at her house and we were going out and I need to choose a name so I told her to pick between Jessy Jess or Jessica. So I was in the the restroom and she called Jessica and I have be that ever since.
HI LUCILLE
when I was growing up I always wished that my name was Peta instead of Peter so it is a natural progression and I just love it, my second choice would be Rita, which was my mothers name and when I’am in my male persona and people call me Peter I always feel that they are calling me Peta, I hope that makes sense
Dear Lucille,
I’ve decided to go with Alicia as my feminine name because it sounds so pretty and it seems to fit for some reason. It also fits what I would look like if I really were a girl. This name just seems to be exactly right for me in so many ways although it’s nowhere close to my real name. That doesn’t matter in my opinion though. Who says your girl name MUST be based on the original? I definitley don’t think that applies with me. I think one with this decision should choose a name that, in thier opinion, fits. Simple as that. So I’m sticking with Alicia. Thanks for all you advice and support, your a great person and hopefully, one day, I will make a fine young lady!
