Greetings from Bangkok, Thailand! I am here soaking up the local transgender / crossdressing culture.
As you might know, Thailand is considered the transgender capital of the world. The “third gender” is an accepted part of Thai society, making it a haven for transgender people. It’s been wonderfully refreshing to witness.
Here are a few highlights from my trip:
Let’s Talk Travel!
If you’re seeking your next fabulous en femme getaway, look no further than Thailand! But even if you stay closer to home, traveling is the perfect opportunity to unleash your feminine self away from the routine and expectations of home.
Here are 3 great benefits of traveling for crossdressers and transgender women:
1. Traveling gives you an opportunity to reinvent yourself
Nobody knows you and nobody will ever see you again, so you can literally be whoever you want to be.
2. Traveling is the ultimate rut buster
Does life feel like the same old, same old? Traveling exposes you to new experiences and gives you a fresh perspective on life. (And who can’t use that?)
3. Traveling teaches you to go with the flow
Most trips (like your own male to female journey) are full of unexpected surprises. Traveling teaches you to go with the flow – and enjoy the experience.
Do you travel en femme?
I’d love to hear about your en femme travel adventures (or travel dreams), so please share them with me in the comments section below!
Love,
Lucille
I agree with you about traveling Lucille, but………..a person must be able to afford it, and have the funds at hand in order to travel, especially to someplace like Thailand. Thailand would be a heaven for a TG/CD, and I would love to go and explore there sometime, but I don’t see it happening for me unfortunately. Thank you for sharing your experience and fun with us.

Hi Lucille, thank you for your kind reply. You are right, where there is a will there is a way. I would love to go to Thailand and experience it. My problem is, is that I would hate to go it alone. It would be nice to have a companion, or even a TG/CD group to travel with. It would be very exciting!
Sarah
Hi Sarah,
You have a valid point – and that’s why I think you can just as much value hopping in your car and driving to a different city in your home state for a quick getaway.
By the way, you might be surprised how affordable traveling can be if you plan it right. Thailand is very inexpensive (I’m talking meals for $2-$5 and lodging as low as $20/night) and plane tickets during the low season can be found for as low as $1,000.
Where there is a will, there is a way. 😉

I am suprised that you Lucille do not mention that Thailand is the pedophile capital of the world! Many times on TV like 60 minutes p[rogram have people been exposed for traveling to Thailand to exploit and rape children. You of all people should be aware of the problems there.
Hi Johnny,
I am do not like the sex tourism side of Thailand and I don’t doubt that there are pedophiles there (as there are in every country), but that is outside the context of this article. I believe that when you travel, you find what you are looking for. In my case, I found kind and respectful people and a refreshing openness towards transgenderism.
Love,
Lucille
Oh yes, Thailand is so wonderful for we gurls. I’ve been going there for years but only recently in my true self.
When I first began my travels there, I was kind of ‘faking it’ as a male. That didn’t take too long to change. LOL. I’m still not completely free, but heading down the right path.
I would highly recommend a certain hospital in Bangkok for a ‘benchmark’ estimation. I first went to this hospital for other reasons, but one thing led to another and I’m very happy with the reply I received from them face-to-face.
I don’t think I should mention the hospital’s name right now, but it begins with a ‘B’ and end with a ‘g. World-class standards and affordable.
I’ve just turned 60 so I have some concerns about operations of any kind. But I really want to live the rest of my life ‘en femme,’ as the woman that I am, so Thailand is it for me.

Hello Cara and Lucille,
The name of the hospital I mentioned is Bumrungrad. The website is http://www.bumrungrad.com. I’m hoping to do some electrolysis sessions there in a couple of weeks.
Sylvie
Sylvie or Lucille, Please send me the name of the hospital.
That is wonderful to hear, Sylvie! If you don’t mind mentioning the hospital, I’m sure other girls would appreciate the lead. Korp khun ka!

Lucille

My last few trips to the “Redneck Riviera” have been completely en femme and awesome. I felt so completely free. Thailand is one of my dream vacation locales, i’m jealous, grin.
Luceille, totally agree with you, ya just pack up yr suitcase full of femme and be who you know you are inside, nobody cares, they just accept you as you, it is very liberating. Lacey
i love to communicate with you, my email is safi6666666@yahoo.com
thank you
Hi Safi,
Thanks for your reply. If you’re undergoing a full transition, that is male to female sexual reassignment surgery (SRS) the prices vary but I can tell you it’s expensive in the U.S. however, if you go abroad to Thailand or Denmark it would be much less. I would also strongly recommend talking to a sexual therapist who specializes in gender reassignment surgery. It would be an intelligent way to go about it. I hope that helps.
All the best,
Lynn
Lynn; Great advice for all!
thanks Lynn for your helpful reply , but do you know how much it may cost in thailand or denmark?? anyway, I wish to communicate with you more and more for friendship and fun.
