Are you still trying to perfect your feminine voice? A common mistake in MTF voice feminization is speaking in an unnaturally high pitched voice.
Feminine voices do tend to have a higher pitch. (Male voices typically range from 85 to 155 Hz, while female voices range from 165 to 255 Hz.) However, a super high pitch isn’t the only way to sound feminine.
For many transgender women and crossdressers, a deeper female voice sounds more natural. It’s also easier to maintain. Plus, deep voices in women are often considered to be sexy!
If you’ve been struggling to achieve a high pitched voice, consider embracing your deeper voice. For inspiration, here are 10 iconic actresses with captivating deep voices.
P.S. The good news is that you CAN master your pitch and achieve a passable feminine voice with the right tools and strategy.
That’s why I’m so excited to share my new course, Vocal Feminization for Beginners: 30 Day Transformation!
Taught by opera singer and vocal coach Lera Sonzogni, this easy-to-follow program will teach you the basics of achieving a feminine voice in just 30 days.
Happy Birthday Lucille!
I must say you have really provided some of the most helpful information and programs for TG ladies I have ever seen. You are such a precious jewel.
I think I found my voice model because of this video. I have been looking for someone who has a breathy voice that is not too high. I agree that a husky voice on a woman is sexy as long as they know how to make it so. Honestly, even if I had been given a choice I wouldn’t want a very high voice. Kathleen Turner is that woman. I found a youtube vidoe of a lengthy interview she did in 1981 that is worth a listen for anyone wanting more examples of her voice. Unfortunately, it sounds like the years and alcohol have taken a toll on her voice and today it’s no longer this attractive. Poor Kathleen. : (
Thank you for this amazing video. You can learn secrets of make up, remove all your body hair and put on a pretty dress, but if you have male voice, or girlish high pitch voice, all is failed.I like the voices the most of these actresses, but the voice of Ritchie Blackmore’s wife Candice Night is my favourite deep female voice. When I hear her voice a tale comes into life.
And “Home again” and “Village lantern” are very useful for training deep female voice. This year I would like to add to this list the voices of Kathe Perez,Linn Skynard and yours, especially on “Free your inner female”
Happy birthday to you!
Hi Lucille,
Oh my God! What a fantastic video and a real eye opener. I never realised just how many wonderfully sexy actresses actually have quite deep voices. This really gives me something to aspire to. Fantastic.
Claire
I had to train my voice to be lower. I can sing bass, and even do a James Earl Jones impersonation (although that freaks me and my friends out now) that is part of my past life. My friends, the ones that know, all say my voice sounds natural. My job requires that I talk on the phone, and I find some of the male customers flirting with me, so I think my voice is quite convincing.
I used Andrea James, “Finding your feminine voice” system. It takes awhile, but I had over a year in Iraq that I used an hour a day to go through the exorcises, and now I have a natural feminine voice. I can scream, yell, and sing with my voice too (as all women should be able to do). I went to a speech therapist in the VA which said that I had a lovely voice as well. I think that says enough.
You made some very good choices Lucille and I agree with you. My best though is Lauren Bacall. If I could move and talk like her I would never find a reason about myself to ever worry about.
I have been told that I have a much younger and very sexy voice. But it’s hard to keep talking that way after some time. MY femm voice is higher and is not deep. BUT, I vote for Kathleen Turner. I find that her tone and the words she said and the fashion of which she said them really turn me on. She also has some hellacious legs too. Lol. Love Sarah
To be honest I’ve always loved both Morgan and Kathleen. They both have beautiful and rich sounding voices. Great job on the 10 Lucille, love the video. Thanks again 🙂
Its tough to choose, but I have to go with Demi, especially in a movie she did with Michael Douglas, which I can’t remember name of, in late 90’s.
Happy Birthday Lucille!
