It could be a major milestone like starting hormone therapy, coming out to a friend, or going out in public as a woman for the first time.
Or it could be a smaller victory, like buying your first lipstick or choosing your feminine name.
Even if you’re just starting out, there’s a lot to celebrate. Acknowledging your true self is a significant step forward!
So let’s hear it! What is your greatest transgender or crossdressing achievement?

Hi, As I started on the journey of being a full transgender i thought of many things that I need to do, exactly what a real woman would. So dipping into the tips by Lucille Sorella and some hard home work and self created work on my part I achieved all of that. Today I am a 24/7 Transgender and have collected a wardrobe of clothes from casual to party to formal. I learnt everything that a woman would have to do including own make up (now I am a make up artist for a leading salon in my country) besides being a Chartered Accountant. My financial clients have also been broad to see my change and have appreciated my courage and amazed at my transformation. I dont look one bit of the man I was 3 years ago. I have cultivated a circle of friends and business contacts who are in awe and that thrills me to the core. I have grown my hair, pierced my ears and follow every routine of a real woman, include monthly facials, manicures , pedicures and the whole gamut of things. My body has also transformed itself into a full low woman with 34 C cup full rounded breasts. I dieted the right way to maintain heath while shedding the excess. I am today a complete woman and have many admirers and people, men and women who have accepted me into their social and business circles.I have the sweet higher pitch voice of a woman , thanks to Lucille’s tips.My pictures tell part of that story.
You’ve asked a terrific question, Lucille, and I’m loving reading these responses.
I’m reminded of an ancient Chinese proverb: “A journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step.” I’d have to say the first step is the most important; for me that is accepting that it was no longer possible to keep living a double life, and making the decision to come out.
There is a great book by Lannie Rose and free podcast you can download of it from iTunes titled, “How to Change your Sex–A Light-Hearted Look at the Hardest Thing You’ll Ever Do.” I agree with Lannie. It IS the hardest thing you will ever do and it begins with the first deliberate step on a journey of a thousand miles.
Greatest achievement I have found was finding out what my true self actually was and I am doing something about it
Dressing everyday is a common occurrence for me, but the greatest accomplishment so far has been piercing my ears. I know it is small in comparison to most, but I have to maintain a male image. Being able to wear pierced earrings is a huge step for me
Coming out, full time about 10 years ago, after being in closet in total denial for 25 years or so. I experienced alot of nervousness, stress, negative reaction first 5 years or so, when not passing very well, but voice, makeup, movement, dressing etc. skills improved-(thanks in large part to you Lucille, and all of great advice and encouragement, and products!). Also starting hormones in prep for srs, has been big step, and now feel so much more comfortable and happy, being who I really am. Thanks again Lucille!
My greatest accomplishment was coming out – to me. I was the one that had to be convinced before anyone else could know. That was 30+ years in the making. In the last several months I have had many milestones such as coming out to several people to include my wife, my mom, my boss, and some of my friends. Other achievements have been getting much better at makeup and finding clothes that look good on me, walking the walk and talking the talk far more easily than when I began. Lastly, I have developed the confidence to know who I am and to not worry so much about what I have yet to do and more thoroughly enjoy what I have done.

I have done a lot of things, large and small, since I started this adventure. Physical, social, a whole big list. But by far the two biggest things were starting in the first place, and most of all, coming out to all the people close to me in one way or another. That was such a relief, letting that last 20% of the world know who I really am. For better or worse – better, as it turned out – it was great to just be me and not go switching back and forth depending on what was up next. If y’all can do it, it has my hearty recommendation!
Hi Salina , I have read your brief story and I do commend you in the way you have crossed from being whom you were and whom you truly are .
I gave myself the name first JAS Jill Ann Summers and still in the closet am afraid at this moment .
Regards
Jill
Hi My greatest moment was the 1st. time that I brought a bra which fitted me. After using the breast enhancement program and a breast pump for about 3 months the results were fantastic. you can imagine how proud and happy I was.
