I hope you’re having a wonderful holiday season!
This is the time to eat, drink, and be merry.
But let’s face it – none of us wants the bulge that comes with too much holiday indulgence.
If you’re a crossdresser or transgender woman, you know that the closer you stay to your ideal weight, the easier it is to create a feminine body shape.
So how can you avoid an expanding belly this holiday season?
Here are my top 7 ways to avoid holiday weight gain:
1. Allow Yourself to Indulge… A Little
It’s important not to deprive yourself over the holidays. If you do, it’ll lead to cravings, binging, and an eventual backlash.
Treat yourself – but be choosy about what you eat! Save your calories for the foods you truly love.
2. Never Arrive Hungry
Going to a party that will be loaded with tempting treats? The worst thing you can do is arrive hungry.
Instead, “spoil” your appetite by eating a healthy snack before you leave home. This will help curb the urge to binge when you get to the party.
3. Don’t Drink Too Much
There’s nothing like a toast with friends over the holidays. But there are two problems with alcohol:
- It adds a lot of empty calories to your diet.
- It lowers your inhibitions and can lead to eating more than you intended to.
If you’re going to drink, pace yourself – and be sure to drink plenty of water. A good rule is to drink one glass of water for each alcoholic drink.
4. Limit “Tastes” While Cooking
Be careful in the kitchen when you’re cooking and baking. Tasting food while you cook is an easy way to sneak in loads of extra calories.
My favorite trick is to SIT DOWN anytime you eat – even if it’s just a bite. This forces you to be conscious about how much you are consuming.
And remember – a taste isn’t meant to be a meal! Sample the tiniest bit and save your appetite for the main course.
5. Keep Up Your Exercise Routine
It’s easy to let your exercise routine slide during the busy holiday season. Don’t let this happen to you!
Exercise helps burn calories and boosts your metabolism. But even more importantly, it keeps your healthy habits on track. If you stop exercising, it’s all too easy to throw in the towel and let your healthy eating habits go out the window, too.
6. Eat Protein First
It’s not just about what you eat but WHEN you consume it.
Eating protein prior to eating carbs or drinking alcohol helps stabilize your blood sugar. This can help curb cravings, making you less likely to eat the “sinful foods” that pack on pounds.
7. Use Smaller Plates
Studies show that plate size affects appetite, so an easy trick to avoid overeating is to use a small plate. A small plate creates the illusion of more food and makes it easier to control your portions.
Now, let’s celebrate!
What are your plans for this holiday season? Are there any fabulous femme outings on your agenda? I’d love to hear about them, so please share below.
Happy holidays!
Love,
Lucille

Merry Christmas Lucille,…. I’m so excited this Christmas that I can’t contain myself… My girlfriend shopped exclusively for Alexis this year…there’s lot’s of presents under the tree… I just can’t wait for Santa..Alexis
I’m heading to the ballet on Monday, and I’m desperate to make these Stuart Weitzman Nudists work. They do ALL THE THINGS for my legs (and my butt) but they’re 4.5″ with no platform and have literally zero support, and may very will destroy me…
Wow, what a gorgeous shoe! Have fun at the ballet! I’m sure you will look stunning.
Forgot the picture…
That is so pretty! I’m sure you’ll be gorgeous!
This is a beauty question: when it comes to eye makeup, can please give me guidelines on how to ware day/ work vs. night/ dinner and a night out on the Town. For all three eyeliner, eyeshadow an eyebrow, please advise.
Hi Anna Sofia, Lucille has an excellent program called ‘Makeup magic’ which is like a video tutorial that answers all of those questions. It’s very helpful.
Over the crimbo season I try to keep it in my head (not that it always works) my perfect self image, this helps me to be stronger with the temptations, after all, the sales starts soon and I want to fit into all the bargains I find.

Davina
Davina, I fully agree with you the New Year Sales are a huge motivation for me even here in the UK.
I spent two years getting my weight down to my goal and do not intend blowing it out of the window even for enticing holiday food temptations.
Love to all
Heather
Great suggestion! And yes, the after holiday sales are great motivation to stay on track!
I need some weightloss tips that don’t include running or impact on legs.
Lucille, I also love wearing women’s clothes like pantsuits, pantyhose, 2 to 3 inch heels, blouses, all the things that women wear and go out en femme everyday. I now have 36D breasts that I got from Noogleberry.
Hi Lucille-wishing you and safe and pain free move to SF and may your new home be filled with friends, laughter, life and love. and of course hehehe I have been a good girl this year well except for that one time that when I was dancing with a friend and my skirt fell down, I turned red and blamed it on weight loss lol. Maybe thats not being bad hmmmmmmm!!!! 🙂
My femme wish for the new year would be to learn and be able to apply all the the ideas, suggestions, hints and cheats in the “Stepping Out Secrets” kit I bought. Such helpful and wonderful ideas with a fresh set of insights. Thank you so much for all you and your colleagues do for us girls. I am looking forward to being the best girl I can be.
Wishing you Happy Holidays and wonderfully successful new year in all your endeavors and your new home.
