It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
My male name is Charles. I wanted to keep my feminine name as close to my real name as possible so I chose Charlise Arielle. Also a big fan of Charlize Theron
My given Name is Robert I got my Fem name from a couple of places , I Struggled with my Femme name for quite a while this being my second Chosen name my first was Ronda Arlean Simmons , it sounded kind of hard to me this went on for a few years so one day on Fb I was checking out some of the Quiz games so just for laughs I chose one that said what is the best name that suits your personality But then I pushed for Female on the Gender Choice and it came up with Joan and gave the description of why that name. After reading it , it was as if they were reading my mind. The tone was set for a mature and gentle person But one that could put up a fight if need be . So I kept it . My middle name starts with R so I chose Roseann The Third and last was Brunswick , I used to play a lot of Pool the tables were of course Brunswick. I put them all together and the name seemed to roll off the tongue Quit Nicely I liked it and kept it. To this day if I see my name in a reply or comment it Gives me a thrill of delight. I hope you like the Reply Take care everyone. God Bless. XOXOs

I was born a boy but mom was so depressed she raised me as a girl until I started school, all her friends knew me as Deanna and none the wiser. Then in Middle school a girl kept bugging me, telling me I looked just like her best friend. She wanted me to come to her house and see, so after the 10th or 12th time I agreed and went with her. I looked at the picture and said I couldn’t really tell so she suggested I let her dress me as her friend Jennifer, who it turned out was her gay girlfriend who had moved away. I had spent the first 6 years of my life as a girl so it was no big deal to let her make me over. The likeness was uncanny and I began to go there all the time after school. One day her mom came home early from work and thought I was Jennifer, so they both began to call me Jennifer or Jenny. After several years as Jennifer she moved away and I went back to Deanna, then shortened it to Deedee.
