It’s amazing how much our names shape our identities. Some names feel like a perfect fit from the start, while others never quite resonate with us.
However, crossdressers and transgender women have the unique opportunity to choose their own feminine names.
Every great MTF name has a story behind it, and I’d love to hear YOURS.
How did you choose your feminine name?
Please tell us your story in the comments below, and if you can, share a photo too. It’s always lovely to put a face to a name!
Love,
Lucille
I simply asked my mother if her and dad had picked out a girl name and what was it. She told me that I was to be named Stephanie Lynn. So that’s my new name. PS- MOM said she always suspected I was a girl in my mind as I’ve always been more feminine than manly.
I chose Claire because I wanted to be like my stepsister, who has that name. She is a very classy girly girl who wears very stylish clothing. I never wore her clothes because she is a size 8 and I am a size 16. She would tease me about being a girl, as she loved being a woman. She was always given the award for best dressed woman in school. She always wears dresses and hates wearing pants
She loves nylons and changes her clothes several times a day. I always dreamed of being her little sister. She never discovered my secret life as a closet tranny. I think of her every time I cross my legs and feel my freshly shaved legs rub against the nylon stockings.
I was Daniel but then I ended up being agender/trans-femme so I became Daniele.
This is probably the nerdiest response here. I knew I wanted a Japanese name, but choosing one was hard. Eventually I took my first name from a video game character and my last name from anime. Now I’m Kaori Kurenai and I’m the only one with my name (as far as I can tell)
I chose Catherine Nicole as my mom dressed me as a girl when I was young. She always told me I was her “Catherine” she never had. Now that I’m Catherine Nicole, I am so thrilled in my transition and love having become the woman my mom would be proud of.
I chose Brandi because she seems fun, and my real name is Brad
Original name was Chris with my mum calling me Christopher when I was in trouble
My best friends dad had problems with pronouncing the Chris calling me Christi and this developed into Xristi as in Xmas. The Mexican/IPhone version is different but I do have fun getting it spelt by others, always getting positive comments on its spelling.
I was torn between 2 names very earl on, Jennifer and Breanna. I went back and forth very briefly but soon settled on the name Jennifer. My last name is my legal middle name.
